Ive been trying to get a download of this song for yonks. I had the album but lost it years ago during one of my many house moves. CHeers for posting.
This is a moody, beautiful piece of music. I remember I Before and After Science as a gift from my brother years ago, and I used to listen to this song at night while lying bed. It would conjure so many images of peace and tranquility - the world could use a little peace and tranquility these days dontcha think?
Yeah, this is definitely one of the songs I like to listen to while I'm getting ready to sleep, and I don't mean that in a bad way... it's just so peaceful and relaxing. I also like The Carnival is Over by Dead Can Dance for the same reason, besides that they're both good songs.
I love this song.....It fills me with calm and makes the world seem good again. I dont know how he does it...but he does..and all from a non-musician.
i wouldnt say its little known -- i can practically guarantee that every electronica artist of even mild renown knows it backwards and forwards.... but this is the best song on an album full of great tracks... "her fingers touch the surface of the sea..." perfect portrait of langor painted here by Mr. Eno. Thanks for the post
never folly hunchybunker.. since I first typed 'Eno' on youtube 3 weeks ago, i spend every spare moment listening to these fantastic trippy songs I havent heard since I was a teenager. I turn 50 this week and still love Eno

There's a persistent rumour that this song is about Julie Christie (who Brian Eno was dating at the time) and a miscarriage she had.
