Styrofoam just started an American tour. I saw him last night in NYC. You should go check him out. He played this song last night, but he sang instead of Ben.

someone please enlighten me. I am an enormous fan of ben gibbard, but i've never heard of styrofoam untill i came across this impeccable song. is styrofoam a band or just the bald guitarist? and if it's just the guitarist, who are the remainder of the musicians?

I love this song. I've always loved this song. This really reminds me of my really close friend Lee because he's always my shoulder to lean on when other people are sick and tired of me. I'm going to miss him, but I still have this song. :]

Hahaha. Truth is, Lee and I aren't even really friends anymore. We had a big fight and now we're just... not talking. I still send him e-mails, but he's never going to talk back. This song is still so important to me.

Styrofoam was indeed the opening act for Death Cab for Cutie. Ben did a guest appearance during their set. This was filmed in Amsterdam on June 25 2006

I don't think either Dntel or Postal Service were touring when this took place, but God knows Death Cab was touring. Styrofoam may have opened for Death Cab or appeared as a special guest.
