  • I reccomend some transmission upgrades to keep the Allison happy on the higher settings. On the LB7 and LLY trucks a valve body is a good idea. The LBZ and up the transgo jr shift kit makes a world of difference. A valve body or shift kit will increase transmission line pressure allowing for better clamping force. This will stop slippage and also help you stop limping the tranny. Obviously you should also do a better torque convertor as well to see the best results.

  • I have this setup on my LLY. I had nothing but problems on high setings until I upgraded the tranny.

  • awsome vid!! two of my favorite things together...duramax diesels and the original trucks with stacey david

  • good show

  • yeah but i still think you should do tranny upgrades if you're gonna run on a high level (like new torque converter).

  • yeah my banks six gun, made my trans slip, i need a new torque converter

  • how safe is the juice on the tranny? also when plowing, is there a certain setting that works best or should you stick with stock settings? just wondering if u knew

  • he says you dont damage anything (except for rear tires)

  • i think they say if ur gonna use level 5 tranny upgrade are recomended.
