  • that last shot of Judy walking on the street with 2 men, I know it's in the 50s but the man on the right looks totally today. it's nice to see natural judy just walking and talking, better than an interview.

  • The Liza bit at 7.00 is very honest & touching.

  • liza is incredible!

  • Odd, they don't talk about all the lies Judy told, grew up telling. Well, this is about the sisters. Very interesting upload. Thank you.

  • Awesome interview what strong women from one family

  • Judy Garland gave the public what they wanted to hear. No matter what Judy did, they all wanted to see her as a tragic figure. Judy did have a rough life some of the time & I'm sure just being a legend was a tough life for such a sensitive and tiny woman. Judy really wasn't always unhappy 24/7 like the media wants us to believe. Judy just gave the public what they wanted & she was really a very classy lady & down to earth & accessible to her fans back then. Judy gave us many hrs of pure joy.

  • Judy was soooo beautiful! <3

  • Good Lord was Liza underated for being hott...My god was she ever!!! =)

  • Liza Minelli was soo hot

  • Why don't they talk about Joey?

  • At 2:46 Liza sounds SO MUCH like a young Judy, like in the song "Dear Mr. Gable" Don'tcha think?

  • More more! I want more! Thanks so much --- what a great find! I have never seen them quite like this. It's very real!

  • I love, how much the girls loved their mom, how they wouldnt let anyone talk bad about her, I love that, even with her issues Judy had a great heart as evident by her childrens love.

  • Liza was SOOO beautiful when she was young!

  • I think Liza look like Judy now that she's older but she use to look like her father

  • @thejazzlady40, i think the same too :D

  • Wow Liza at 6.19 to 7.36 is just so amazing. And her coment at the end when she says being herself is just fine.. wow man, breathtaking.

  • liza looks like her mother to a tee. Lorna looks like her dad. Joey looks like hish dad 2.

  • liza looks so much like her father as well

  • oh yeah u can defo see liza's dad is her too. Bt she has judy's eyes

  • i wish i had judy's eyes haha

  • This whole interview should be required viewing if you wanna call yourself a fan.

  • Ha I guess I'm sick because I would actually buy something of Lorna's or Liza's.

  • I love what Barry said about remembering JUDY's artistry v. what she did in her own life~how true! I do believe that Barry was in the audience for JUDY's TV special in 62 with Silvers and Goulet.

  • Judy worked so damn hard throughout her life and couldn't pay a hotel bill? That really makes me angry she should have been very rich!

  • Very true! But she had spent money on things that she couldn't afford, and many, many people took advantage of her which would drain out her money.

Even when she WAS getting a profit from concerts and TV shows, etc., companies she owed took the money to pay for what she owed.

  • I love the footage of judy near the end.

  • Are these two divas done arguing yet? Can I watch the damn show?

    Jesus...

  • ...?

  • liza is the bigger star lorna is ok but liza is a star

  • Thanks for these incredible moments with Liza & Lorna...great talents both with such a background...Bravo to these wondrous ladies who would make mom proud!

  • Joey lives out of the limelight. He's a photographer as far as I know

  • Thanks. I didn't know that.

  • what has happened to joey luft?

  • Well, at least Lorna knows if she's ever hurting for money she can always dig a couple of old banana peels and empty tuna fish cans out of the trash and sell them on e-bay! :-p

  • thanks for posting this!!! these stories that they are telling are priceless!! i love judy!!!!!!

  • Thankyou.

Liza used to like to just tell the truth, tell it like it is just be herself. Now it's not quite that. You can always tell what her answer-

Oh who cares what i think ? Just thanks for the clip.

    xxxx

  • used to tell the truth - and she is not now?

  • Well after talking about your mother relentlessly for *FORTY YEARS* you would start to get a bit repetitive and roll out the old worn out half true answers

    move ON already

  • What do you propose she says when interviewers ask her about her mother then? Just sit there and drift off into space?

You're being silly.. Stop going around to every Liza video posted on youtube and making negative comments! We get it.. you don't like Liza.. that's ok.. but you don't have to keep rubbing it in our faces!

  • Fine you don't like Liza or Lorna.. WE understand that! Now.. are you still going to make negative remarks under every Liza video ever posted? I mean why even click on the video to watch if someone you can't stand is featured! It makes not once bit of sense to me..

The fact is Judy loved these girls and they will talk about their mother openly simply because they want her to be remembered in a positive light.. Just remember the interviewers are the ones who ask the questions.. they just answer

  • No, I'll continue to comment on what I see

As for the CONSTANT interviews where L&L say exactly the same things over and over - most of it dubious (and in Liza's case delusional) - no-one puts a gun to their heads and makes them do interviews

They have made a career out of Judy and I don't think it does her memory any good at all

Their insights about Garland are limited because they are both obviously very damaged by their childhood

  • Fine I suppose we will all just have to learn to ignore you..

As for Lorna and Liza being damaged from their childhood.. How would you know this? Do you know them personally? Did you know them as children and Judy Garland as an adult? Did you live in their home(s)?

Unless you can answer yes to any of the above questions then I'll tell you what you know in regards to the subject.. NOTHING!

    :)

  • Lorna is not a nutcase. And I wouldn't say she has had chaotic relationships. And she has been free from drugs and drink for over 20 years. She is also fairing well enough in theatre work in the UK.

Why do you let them bother you so much? Maybe deciding someone is a nutcase from interviews is a dangerous theory?

  • Talking about your mother incessantly like she died yesterday is pretty nuts in my book

  • But naturally they are constantly asked about her. She was Judy Garland so there is no getting away from that. It doesn't make them nuts. I can't speak for Liza as I don't know her but I do know Lorna and she is no nutcase!

  • And one last thing. You claim Liza is "beating a dead horse" in regards to talking about her mother's life in interviews and using her mother as her claim to fame. Never mind the fact that she has proven herself as her own performer with an Oscar, Emmy, 2 Golden Globes, 3 Tony Awards, and a special Grammy.

But of course even after all those accolades she is still having to "prove" herself, and people like you keep saying "it's because she's Judy's kid."

Hmm.. now THAT'S beating a dead horse!

  • Liza's main career focus has always been live performing.. She simply "fell" into movies and after Cabaret she made a few movies that were flops, except to some degree New York New York and the smash hit Arthur, and then got bored with the medium.

What has she done in the last 20 years? You mean other than sell out some of NYC finest theaters and break many box office records?

Hmm.. if that isn't success then the rest of us are doing pretty lousy!

Also I bet another Tony this year!

  • this a very touching program, I will have to dig out my copy and watch it again one of these days! thanks!

  • aw i love this thank you <3<3 xx
