  • Was that hat a Jock fashion of the time?

  • Were there more of these?

  • I got this promo record when my parents ran a working men's club, didn't think there were quite so many copies still around! This is one of the few flexi records I still have, I actually thought it was a great record.

Me and a few mates did a version of this, including the line (@30seconds) "next time you're looking for action, drag down the ladies' gear" :-D

  • This song featured in a TV advert around 19 68/9

  • great song, i still have this record aswell in my collection, have it twice i think :)

  • Band was called 'Hickory'. It didn't exist in real life....We were a bunch of session musicians recruited from the Top Rank Suite band that I was playing with. The recording was done in 1969 in Leeds, Yorkshire..

  • I used to play in a soul band in the 70's and we changed the lyrics to this and it always freaked the audience out because they sort of knew it but could'nt figure it out, always went down a bomb though....Happy days!

  • Just to add I had this 45 rpm flexidisk also and only recently damaged it and had to chuck it.

  • Hi, great post, brings back memories. I was fortunate as a teenager as my parents converted one complete room into a party room complete with dance floor and proper bar with draught Youngers Tartan. Cheers.

  • @andygin Great parents

  • @ajay999999 They were.. both gone now but great memories. That party room was fab. Ive got some super 8 film recording parties. Honest we had Youngers on draught. Great for me and my mates when mum and dad at work he he !
