Klaus - a life-long, habitual opportunist under any regime and situation. In bloody 50s, height of communist terror, at age of 17 (!) he got first "green light" from the regime (as his hardline communist father, supposedly from Ukraine, who until his death in 1974, after Soviet occupation in 1968, remained staunch Stalinist) by being admited to the Stalinist Prague School of Economics, majoring in foreign trade (nomenklatura track). Paranoid need to rub ellbows with powerful, here Klaus, yet again, pays his insincere, opportunist homage to the Iron Lady. Poor Thatcher either doesn't know (nor she care as she too needs a supposed thatcherite in Eastern Europe) what policies Klaus actually conducted. That Czech communist MPs put him in the office and 5 years later made sure that he wil hold the post again. Shameful and pathetic!

Klaus, the communist-era opportunist, whom Czech communists never criticized (despite the suppposedly opposite ideology they and Klaus have), their MPs put Klaus in presidential office the first time and their "obsteining" from the vote 5 years later was designed to ensure that he will - to a great joy of Putin - be also able to continue to be opportinist, noisy opponent of EU integration.
Obviously, when he proudly grants interview to the psychotic Glenn Beck, he doesn't tell anyone.

Its easy math. EU has always been a thorn in Russians' side. Klaus, too, is a fierce critic of a greater EU integration and moreover is a keen supporter of Russian influence in the CZ, which is borne out by some of his favorable comment and actions (see Georgia crisis, gas conflict, meeting with Russian agents, russian mafia). Russia tries to infiltrate my country and eventually EU to create economic and political ties so that she can eventually extort us. It tags together like a box of bricks.

I maybe don't understand this ... he can't go to England because his country (founded in 1993)celebrates 19? anniversary of its statute and anniversaries shouldn't be ignored so he as a president of CR didnt take part on celebration of Velvet revolutions anniversary because he wasn't sik just tired.
