  • Demetori actually wrote this song and not UI-70, as credited on the UI-70 CD.

  • visit my channel for touhou music

  • how strange 0:31 really similar to sleepwalker's verse riff

    you know, sleepwalker, by megadeth

  • i love how irish looking Meiling is and she's supposed to be Chinese...

  • oi tout les photo sont très belle apar la premier biensure

  • Meiling's biggest strong point is that she is Hong Motherfucking Meiling.

  • She own's and her big strong point is NO weak point.

Another big point is on her upper body ;D

  • yay~ meiling!!!! hong meiling: omfg you remembered my name!!!! me: damn straight

  • You gotta give meiling credit for haveing the ballz to play with flandre

  • Comment removed

  • 1:21 Hell yeah!

  • @Artmgjr She only wears pants in the fighting games. Any other time she doesn't wear any, just her skirt-thing...

  • @DJstagen I myself prefer Meiling with her saggy pants and awesome boots on.

  • 3 people underestimated Meiling and got killed by her in Easy.

  • it's actually demetori but ok :P

  • @DarkFireBlade25

If I recall correctly, this is a remix where both Demetori and UI-70 worked on.

  • Mm, the piece by itself is good.

I think it's much too loose to be considered as her theme though.

  • 2:22 When did Suwa Foughten Field have something to do with Kurenai?

  • @SOSdanChoreBoy Kurenai? KURENAI??? ITS HONG MEILING YA HEAR????

  • please send mp3 :3

  • @deminisher98 download it with a youtube converter

  • Her legs are killers. And not because she can kick you to death.

  • Meiling actually wears a pair of white pants under her dress, as shown in IaMP and Hisoutensoku. Why most artists choose to omit the pants in her artwork is anyone's guess. Given China's conservatism, it would be a reasonable assumption that most women martial artists were required by social conventions to cover up under their dresses, hence the pants. (In most Chinese martial arts movies, female practitioners are also depicted wearing pants under their dresses.)

    -from the Touhou wiki

  • @FlashOfSonic

"Why most artists choose to omit the pants in her artwork is anyone's guess" Probably because most artists thinks it looks sexy.

  • @superinabarpg Still, you'd think at least a good portion of artists would draw the pants. I mean, she wears pants in official works. And she's CHINESE, for crying out loud!

  • @FlashOfSonic ...but she doesnt wear trousers in her pics in EoSD and Perfect Memento in Strict Sense...

  • @beefmeef I don't believe her legs were visible in EoSD. And I don't think her picture in Perfect Memento in Strict Sense was drawn by ZUN.

  • @FlashOfSonic ...try looking at her sprite and you'll see that a small part of her right leg is visable...

  • @beefmeef ...no, i don't see it.

  • @FlashOfSonic it says she wore pants in Touhou Hisoutensoku

  • @theloltimatecold it would be very nice if people would stop drawing Meiling without pants. I mean, she wears pants in canon. And she's CHINESE, for crying out loud! The Chinese are very modest when it comes to their clothes.

  • @FlashOfSonic Yep, I like Meiling more with her white, saggy pants on.

  • at 1:34 is possibly the only really accurate (unofficial) picture of Meiling. Why? Because in that pic, she's wearing pants. >_>

  • Hong....MEILIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINGh.

  • what's up with all the pics of Hong Meiling without pants out there? In IaMP and SWR, (which are, by the way, OFFICIAL works) she is shown to wear a pair of white pants under her dress.

  • Sakuya-san, Sakuya-san, creaning stop!

  • If everyone in Gensokyo wouldn't rely upon magic so much, Meirin would be one of the strongest. She knows Kung-Fu!

  • @Kingofeurope

Actually, she uses tai chi. O.O

  • Sakuya-san, Sakuya-san! Cleaning STOP!

  • i like the fanarts in the vid.

  • If you have that game Beat Hazard, play it with this song on Insane.. You will die your first time, but its a hell of a challenge D=

    Very Brutal

  • this sounds like an epic remix of the mansion theme after playing Simons Quest for a bit...

  • Do they have remixes of Flandre's battle theme and Cirno's?

  • Meiling would be proud of this.. if she wasn't too busy sleeping through it.

  • UI-70 at its finest. To me, they never topped this track.

  • if it isnt that beautiful gatekeeper

    <3

    nice song thanks for upload

  • Wow, what the hell did "Tuck213" do to get -18 downvotes?!

  • Nope, i believe it stands for 'dragon' in Chinese.

  • @shinobikurisu Communism owns actually.

  • I don't know, it's just a question.

Also I doubt if Chinese government go that far by putting a red star on a cartoon of theirs.

Just got 15 negative rates for just posing a question. That was actually exact what I thought would happen when i posted it.

  • I think it mostly refers to Alice in Wonderland (The book by Lewis Carol). Since Meiling is originated from China (or a land similar to it), her being in Gensokyo kind of makes her an outsider. And in Alice in Wonderland, Alice was an outsider of Wonderland. I could be wrong though.

  • but he based alice mergatroid ON alice in wonderland... I suppose you may be right though... I wonder if I could somehow contact ZUN on this...

  • ZUN called his "creator group" (that consists only of him) Team Shanghai Alice. Don't know if there's a connection

  • .... probably....

    but to which character?

  • To the Name of the theme

  • She and Shampoo are my favorite Chinese girl characters.

You just have to dig Hong Meiling.

She's the nicest and coolest resident of the hellish Scarlet Devil Mansion.

Sakuya needs to stop flinging blades at her.

  • When you consider she uses martial art skills to be able to fight on the same level as characters that are heavy magic users she is pretty badass.

Some touhous such as Nitori also use technology.

Also Meiling doesn't want to kill you either unlike some other enemies she's just doing her job.

  • By killing you.

  • Naa in her official description in perfect memento it's stated you could have a conversation with her and she won't do anything unless you try to get past the gate without an invitation.

Even when dealing with intruders she's not a killer think of her like those guys who stand outside a night club.

Considering whats locked in the SDM basement she's probably doing you a favor by kicking your ass if you try to get in.

The maid on the other hand I think she is out to kill you.

  • Wekk, comparing bruises and broken bones to stab wounds... I think both could kill you just as easily.

And besides, what if you come to, I dunno, kidnap a fairy maid for yourself? It wouldn't make a difference.

  • Although her job would often involve killing people who invade the mansion... but ur right, not enough people pay proper respect to her and her awesome theme D: this remix, however, is amazing.

  • lol volcam 300?

  • I thought it was the other way around.

  • This song was arranged by Demetori.

Not UI-70. UI-70 albums contain songs

from Demetori albums in many instances.

  • I'd just like to say that this song is actually by Demetori, UI-70 is the album artist.

  • Meiling is more badass than many realize.

That will be their ultimate downfall.

  • thats why she's mid and final boss for stage 3 and not for stage 1 or 2 of EoSD.

  • Harsh, much?

  • THis song=fed up with her treatment! I am outta here!

    Shun Goku Satsu!

    Sakuya-Oh SHIT!

    FATAL KO!

  • This song is the best :D

  • This is badass o_o

I love ittt. One of the rare Meiji 17 remixes.

  • UI-70 is awesome! this is one of their best.

  • Where did you get these images from

  • Try google :D

  • Google images sucks

  • Try Danbooru.

  • Danbooru is my ally

  • 2:43 to 3:05 is majestic beyond words.

  • Parece spiccos de mierda

  • Really?! Oh my God, I've got to get it...thankies so much!

  • Great version

  • Just imagine if this was on Guitar Hero or Rock Band? It'd be great if there was a J-rock Rock Band game...

  • its called guitar freaks and it predates those games

  • I think you can have custom tracks on 360's Guitar Hero. Don't know because I never bothered to get that system. Though, the idea of playing this is another good reason to do so.

  • If all else fails there's always Frets on fire

  • I thought Frets on fire use the PC keyboard.

  • it does but you could probably hook up a ps2 or 3rd party controller and adjust the settings.... or use guitar zero

  • very good!!!

  • Great song, im like Ui-70!!!

  • where can I download the mp3 file of this, I liek it!

  • Funny thing I noticed, 2:05-2:15 is identical in a way to the mansion themes from the second Castlevania.

  • This song was MADE for guitar.

  • Many songs are. Usually ones that don't have it, sadly.

  • awesome...

  • Woah, awesome.

  • This isn't Chinese Tea, it's coffee now.

  • I was thinking more hard liquor.

  • Sorry guys, I feel really stupid. I looked back at this video when I noticed this song is NOT by SOUND HOLIC, it is by UI-70.

I updated the video details to the correct information. Sorry if you went looking for a nonexistent song in that album.

  • @ExodusC UI-70's remixes are categorized as rock/metal

  • @ExodusC Haha I think that nobody here can take this song for one of Sound Holic... This is Epic Power Metal... at least it could be possible to think it's Demetori or Iron Attack!

  • This is rare. An actual remix of Mei Ling's theme that's NOT Chinese Tea.

  • Indeed. In fact, I felt the urge to bang my head to this when I first heard it. Long live Mei Ling!

  • They're becoming more common as of late, but up until now it's been nearly impossible to find (good) remixes of Meiling's theme.

  • Really? That's something I should look for.

  • @ExodusC then listen to the song "Doll" by "Kokuyasou" :P

  • Awesome! with this track I'd like Hong Meiling to appear as a cameo in a Guilty Gear game.

  • I'm with you on that. Be especially interesting with her and Jam going at it.

  • Gensokyô!! Gensokyô!! Long live to Touhou Project and long live to China ! ^^

  • CHINA IS SUPERIOR

  • Cool,

    Need I say more?

  • China China~!!
