the only information about her in book form in my book Great Spirits: Portraits Of Life-Changing World Music Artists. You can find more info about this if you
This workshop was in 1981. She was born in 1937 so that would make her 44 at that time. I find it's hard to believe. I wouldn't have guessed that she was 10 years older than me.
My posting is also an Egyptian movie named Ahed El Hawa...with Farid El Atrach, did you watch it? Maybe this is not the one you are looking for, but this is worth seeing :)
Please , i have been searching for Nadia Gamal for ages ,Only now i found this video which a miracle . I saw a sequence from a movie where she performs to a perfection . Does anyone knows about it ?
Wow, I attended this workshop. Boy, it sure was a long time ago. I have the full video and Nadia was totally awsome. She was brought to NYC by Ibrahim Farrah.
Hey Hollywood Music folks: I have this video -- its excellent -- but for years I have searched for the music she uses for the oriental part. If you have this information, or better yet, sell the music, I would most eagerly buy it from you!
The song is called "Amina" and although it was released on vinyl it has so far not been released as a cd. However, i sent an email to the producers of the dvd and they are trying to gain the rights to make it into a cd. Hope thats some help...?
This workshop was sponsored by the late Ibrahim Farrah. He brought her to NYC in 1981 - I actually have the entire workshop on VHS - she is amazing
