  • Are these real people speaking? They have such strange, automated voices.

  • I license all my work under CC BY-NC-ND 2.0. You know why?

If I made something, I deserve the credit, not someone else.

If I made something, I don't want someone making money off of me.

If I made something, I like it the way it is, so don't even change it.

  • a hint: this video could be undr CC licence too :))

  • Watch out people, if you put your video liscence under C.C. anyone is able to go to the YouTube Editor and reupload your video, and I learned the hard way.

DO NOT USE if you don't want people to reupload your videos you worked hard on.

  • @ClubPenguinTune

There's a line directly under the video which states the following: "Uploaded by NAME on DATE"

So, are you scared people claiming that your (original) video might be the remix? I don't get it...

  • @foxfoobar No... I do not want people taking my video, credit or not.

  • It's funny that sometimes when some one is taken down in their good standing position in Copyright, they're supposed to lose the unlisted and license features right?

Well click on "My Videos", and TAKE A LOOK AT THE "ACTIONS" TAB!!

  • Practice what you preach!

    YouTube tells me:

"That video is not licensed for reuse. Please enter the URL of a video that has a Creative Commons license"

  • time for a dubstep remix..

  • lol and why is this video not with a creative commons locense ????

  • @player2738 lol ikr its standard

  • Your talking about Creative Commons while, your video isn't even under the Creative Commons license! LOL WHY?!

  • CC is future!!!Open the cultures!!!

    ART-AK

  • Bullshit.

  • I don't have any of my videos on any of my 5 accounts (excluding my subscribetoJamie account) under the Creative Commons license so that nobody steals any of my videos. I don't think there's a threat of a lawsuit but someone could claim it as their own and put my accounts "not in good standing" and I would've done absolutely nothing wrong. I can understand why they made it but I put all of mine under the Standard YouTube license just to be safe because there are some screwed-up people out there.

  • uh i hate copyright!

  • Since this is a Creative commons video i want to invite you to my channel where you can find info on how to download my music for free. So visit if you like Pop(80ies style), Dance and Disco!

  • i am still trying to find a big list with animation and videos under creative commons i can use for my music... does anyone know any websites? please drop a line!

  • @AnimalsRightToDance I use soundcloud and jamendo - both sites have CC sections... but you'll need to dig a bit for them.

  • @JuryDutySummons thanks JDS for the answer. But i was talking about cc videos for my own music! not cc music!

  • @AnimalsRightToDance Oh, I see. Well, I'm not sure on that... but I know Wikipedia Commons is under... well... CC :) Mostly it's photos, but there might be a few things you could use.

  • @JuryDutySummons thanks again for answering. i also donated 20 or 10 euro to CC, i dont remember the exact price. hey if you are interested for free music check my channel too. everything there is for free.

  • CC is one of the best licenses used in those hard 'patented' days. All that creativity free to all, who wants to take from it

  • EXODOS is finally the next, new creative-commons movie!

  • i like this i do not get paid for doing videos or images i sometimes use royalty free music on my videos. Most of the time i create my own...thanks...dan

  • can you still make money from ad revenue if you use something from creative commons?

  • @mrhyde1888

You can still make money from the song/drawing/picture/movie

    Look up Jonathan Coulton

  • @mrhyde1888 Look up Nine Inch Nails, they left their label & started to use creative commons for a couple of their albums.

  • @mrhyde1888 As far as I knew from licensing mine - reading the agreement - you deal with it the same as commercial use of any normal copyrighted work--i.e., get the copyright holder's permission and make any payments agreed by you to the copyright holder; the Creative Commons license, as a pro-forma document, only allows free use for other free users--e.g., dubbing the audio from a YouTube vid of someone in their study playing an instrument under a video-/slide-show of your vacation photo's.

  • that will never work. The organizations and governments will have this method shut down, for messing with their copy protection plan, and they cant sue people if the information is freely use.

  • @icewashu That is one of the most common misconceptions. This movement has been working and the government has validated it in the Courts exactly because it doesn't mess with copyrights. Every work under CC is still protected by Copyrights. Licensing is legal ... this is just a license that lets users know beforehand what they can do with the work and which rights were kept reserved by the author. :-)

  • @icewashu Creative Commons is based on copyrights--the copyright owner releases the content under a legally binding licence, but one that allows people to copy the content. It will be upheld in court and can even be used against huge organisations.

  • Huh. I just managed to mix Creative Commons with Current Contents... Embarassing.

  • I like this idea.

    This stuff rolls with me.

  • newgrounds audio = also CC!

  • @pokerockmario123 IT's GREAT! I love it

  • all my stuffs are protected by creative commons..^^ the thing is, i use the most basic protection they have..

  • @leejaedi hi can you please tell me how is work? I have video and I used freesoundeffects*org,my equation is :

If you use freesound and youtube want info about your video, what you have to do? do i have to send them creativecommons page? I need help please. Salah

  • Creative Commons is a great idea for everyone who creates multimedia stuff!

  • great

    good job creative commons

  • Hi,

Looking for more creative commons music to use with my online dance videos.

Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, West Coast Swing etc.

    Holler if you spot any.

    Peace,

    Brett

  • did you try jamendo(dot)com ?

  • Copyright - you can download the song.

Creative Commons - you can download the song from the same place all the time.

  • hehe.. that's true

  • @artman40 No.

When you upload to YouTube you are licensing use through YouTube.

Copyrighted: various other youtube users can stream the video--whether it's anybody at all with access to YouTube, or only you, or any youtubers who are signed, in or only people listed as your friends in your YouTube account settings.

Creative Commons: anyone can download the source from the MP4 that youtube creates (I hope) and do anything they want with it.

  • I don't understand why people would flame this video. Without this creative commons licensing all the sites such as this one will find there content quickly dwindling, and many many people being prosecuted for "illegal" use of copyright material. In short anyone who flames this post has little or no knowledge of the way that creativity and the arts work and should probably think before posting a comment such as "Stupid". This statement alone should be taken as a mark of the posters intelligence.

  • I did not mean to imply that creative commons was the reason people are not being prosecuted. This is wrong! Sorry. I mean to say that this license will help people who create new artwork from existing artwork such as on this site and many others.

  • @p4713nc3 they're called trolls -,-

  • my name is charlotte commons, i had full copywrite on that, creative commons. this resuse of my name is going too far.

  • not funny. :(

  • lol

  • Scam Artist

  • thank you! ;)

  • This allows you to download material without threat of a lawsuit. If you actually had a brain you'd understand that.

  • obviously somebody isn't creative enough here.

  • I like much this video

  • You can get a graphic from the creative commons website.

  • Why can't I tag my YT videos as CC?

  • I think a tag has to me more than two characters. I think.

  • no DMR , yes CC
