  • wow... montel got quite choked up at the very end.

legalize all drugs, crime and drug use will actually drop!

  • i dont even smoke weed and i think it should be legal. and for the bitch at 3:13 you go back to mcdonalds you fat bitch

  • DECRIMINALIZE. not make it legal.

  • @LittoBUbbo

No, it needs to be entirely legal

  • @AGeekWithAShotgun Why? It still has mind altering effects and if it were legal like eating candy underdeveloped children might have access to it. Thats why alcohol is behind counters ( mind altering effects). Oh wait my bad, alcohol is legal. What I meant to say is to to at least have some control over it like we do with alcohol. Put an age on it.

  • @LittoBUbbo

"It still has mind altering effects and if it were legal like eating candy underdeveloped children might have access to it."

Children have access to it RIGHT NOW even though it's illegal, and drug dealers don't check for IDs.

Stores selling it would require a medical card for medical use or a valid ID of age for recreational use.

"Put an age on it. "

Exactly my point, which is the same contention of the legalization movement. Legalize it, have states regulate it.

  • @AGeekWithAShotgun :) You are right. That is what I meant.

  • @LittoBUbbo I am a recent convertee so sometimes I don't know how to put my ideas into words

  • Montel is the fucking man. Plain and simple.

  • That audience needs to smoke some pot. Why does everyone look so grumpy?

  • I lov weed

  • agreee

  • montel for president !!!!

  • Rofl, we go through all these hoops to prohibit weed, but you can get 5 things of codeine at Walgreens no problem lol, I know more than a couple doctors who give a perscription for about any painkiller.

  • What's the argument against allowing adults to choose what to put in their bodies? What the fuck is it? "You're gonna hurt yourself or others." Well, if I hurt myself, what's that to you? And if I hurt others, that's what criminal law is for.

  • haha i love the woman at 3:12 rolling her eyes. some people will never have an open mind with marijuana

  • @jonathanfl89 That's because they're stupid (they don't know that they don't have enough knowledge to comment on the subject)

  • Montel, I'm witcha...but use the word properly. It's not "efficous." It's efficacious.

  • Abolish the DEA!

  • Schedule 1 drug... NO MEDICAL USE.

So... why was big pharma granted a patent on Marinol?

  • how do you own a patent for a plant that grows naturally

  • @danoinchina Monsanto did it and it created so much suffering

  • lol people just need to conduct their own studies. no science involved. :)

  • montel likes to smoke!

i wanna smoke a blunt with my dawg!

no medical reasons, just beacause i can!!!

    legalize it!

  • Woodrow Wilson wasn't the only President to ruin this country, Nixon did also! AND Reagan continued!

    Any answers?

THE DEA. GET RID OF THEM AND THE FED

  • When you Know The Real FACTS >>YOu Know THE REAL TRUTH with MArijUANA.

  • john fucking stossel

  • The reason that marijuana is illegal is because it can be used as fuel and the goverment wants us controlled by the oil companies.

  • i <3 you montel

  • I feel that people with low IQ’s should stay far far away from this medicine!!!

These people spoil it for patients that can benefit from it.

Also, those attention whores that negatively protest against Marijuana are usually uneducated; very low IQ, closet racist, religious douchebags!!!!

Ignorant people retard the progress of mankind!

They believe what they are told without research and science. Sad!

  • Montel Williams is an important pioneer!!!!

He speaks the truth about Marijuana and how it works differently for people and their health conditions.

Marijuana helped me recover from extreme abdomen surgery and saved my life.

Also, I am now off my blood pressure medication, because THC works better then liver killing pills.

I wish Montel the best of luck!

He seems like a really nice person!

  • @fontanaman13 No, alcohol should not be illegal. Drugs, of which alcohol is one, should not be illegal. It is behavior, not substances, that are the problem. Criminalize behaviors that violates personal, property or civil rights. It is ok not to like the choices of your fellow man, but don't use the law to impose your preferences.

  • @fzqlcs I agree with you. My point was that if alcohol is legal and it's dangerous than drugs like marijuana should be as well.

  • @fzqlcs I agree! Sorry about my gramatically messed up previous message that I sent to you! I've got an awful headache and I'm on limited sleep. To answer your question though no I don't think alcohol should be illegal! My point is is that if alcohol is legal and it's dangerous than something like marijuana that is tons less dangerous should be legal. Again sorry if the wording isn't great, I'm not feeling to good!

  • stossel looks like a posterchild for the gay men look of the 1980ies

  • @Rensune u are a disgrace. typical dumbass. Smoking TOBACCO causes cancer. CANNABIS has been scientifically proven to inhibit the growth of multiple cancer cells(concentrated thc) and stimulates the brain(mind) encouraging new brain cell growth while on the other hand tobacco and alcohol has been proven to supress the growth of new cells. Annual deaths from

Tobacco: 400,000. Deaths from a direct result of cannabis usage ONLY since human existence: 0. Scientifically proven to be addictive as

  • FUCK THE DEA

  • montell for first real black man for president!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I find marijuana to be disgusting. With that being said, alcohol is legal, yet how many people abuse others while high?

  • @Rensune alot more abuse cases with alcahol then marijuana thats for sure.

  • @Rensune very true.. and if the government wants to be fair, then make alcohol illegal.

  • The green in the green room sure smells sticky.

  • Montel taught me something today.

  • @strongsad333 *asshole. You aren't making a very good, educated, impression on people from the other side when you can't even insult them correctly. Just saying.

  • Positive words are very powerful kwi.bbnow.org

  • FUCKING RIGHT, anyone against legalztion of marijuana is just one giant ass whole.

  • I'd smoke up with Montel Williams.

  • @codypg and he'd prolly smoke most of us out haha

  • Heroin i think would have a greater affect than marijuana.

  • @mohammadshukri too bad you can overdose on heroin simply from daily use.

  • I'm confused. How can someone, anyone, even a government, own a patent on a naturally occurring plant? Does someone own a patent on crabgrass? Maple trees? This just seems nutty. Maybe I should patent dandelions, then charge royalties to anyone seen growing them in their lawn. Or better yet, levy criminal charges then lock them into prisons that I also profit from. The dandelion squad is coming for you!! LOL

    .

Seriously, we need a good patent lawyer to get that nonsense off the books.

  • 3:13 watch the lady roll her eyes... what are you doing on stossel? lol

  • 1937*

  • The problem with the Marijuana argument is that it focuses primarily on the medical benefits of it. The problem with that is once a study comes out disproving that argument, then the ppl will have lost the battle. I believe it should be legal because I want freedom. I don't care if freedom is harmful to society, I say Live free or DIE!!!

  • Aha, Canada understands?

I wish, Harper wants us to have to go to jail for 1 year minimum for passing a joint

  • Damn right!

  • AMEN MONTEL

  • You want to find a pathological liar. Just find a dea agent. Never seen a case by a good defense attorney not have a lying ass dea not contradict themselves on the witness stand. That is why the Feds go

For plea deals cause if they have to go to trial the prosecutor has to subornation of perjury

  • I have ZERO respect for the DEA.

  • Damn he went hard

  • @defgill your missin out my brotha

  • i don't smoke it and i never will... unless i get sick.

  • @defgill Hahaha ok?

  • ignorent white bitch at 3:12

  • I don't understand. Didn't you Americans have in constitution a "right to pursue of hapinness"? Then how in god's name the government can prohibit drugs, just becouse they are unhealthy? Well, rat poison is unhealthy too if you eat it, so why is it not prohibited in USA? Isn't it a bit schizophrenic?

  • @med2904 Um , maybe they don't want to legalize weed because it will encourage minors to do it? There are already little kids trying cigarette's behind schools at recess. Also, it has different affects on different people. People shouldn't start doing weed at a young age, you should know this judging by the intelligence of your comment. By the way, I smoke weed everyday and wouldn't recommend for it to be legalized.

  • @presstrigga I live in Poland and in my country it's easier for kids to get marijuana than cigarettes, becouse drug dealer doesn't ask you for ID. Also, I don't smoke weed, but my opinion is that you can inject yourself with whatever you want, becouse it's YOUR body and you're not a slave of politicians or democratic majority, which wnats to punish you every time you do something unhealthy for yourself.

  • @presstrigga you're a fucking idiot

  • @pavlovich53 I bet you don't even have kids or will never have kids..you're so tough on the internet omg..oh wait, i forgot...people who talk shit on the net are usually people who can't socialize in real life...you will never get a family...smoke your weed and be more depressed lol..smoke it alone too...goodbye, don't bother to reply...i just blocked you..whats that? you can block comments on youtube now? yes fag.

  • @presstrigga LMAO just a typical not-well thought out hood rat response. legalized weed will make it harder for kids to get just as is the case with alcohol. And just like with alcohol selling to minors is a crime.

If you're going to be a faggot and keep responding like a 13 year old girl then don't bother arguing but if you want to argue about this issue when you get back to your computer in your washington heights apartment i'm more than willing to try and change your mind ont he issue.

  • smart nigga/stoner haha.

  • that big time wrestler should have beaten your candy ass into tomorrow. the DEA is SHIT. our 'leaders' are shit. america is shit. yeah, dems fightin werds......

  • oh god i wish i could remember all that shit

  • Legalize it!!!!!

  • i wanna give montel a hug. <3

  • what are OxyContin from or made like and and morphine ????? dumb D.E.A. JUST SAYING BUT IM ALL 4 WEED

  • @justasmokinkush Yea isnt it strange how they say heroin has no medical value but oxycontin and morphine are prescribed for pain releif. They are all of the same drug class and work on the body similarly. legalize everything!! Especially psychedelics, like come on!!

  • my new hero,

  • 1:50 the dude with the green tie is deff. HIGH!!! LMFAO!!!!

  • The government is all a bunch of bullshit liars. Marijuana is a pure drug that they dont want you smoking. Why? Because they want you to use their own "medicine" that contains who knows what! They are "worrying" about the wrong things when they are the ones controlling the cigarette factorys. I know they are the ones creating crack and heroin. However marijuana is not made using any near harmful substances as other drugs. FUCK IT!

  • im from the UK and you yanks dont have to worry.. yu have it better than us. atleast some states you can have it for medicine.. you cant have pot for medicine over here and it sucks.. because if i lived in cali i would be able to have a license right now :(

  • The audience appears to be 100% populated with DEA agents. But that's probably just my paranoia talking.

  • Marijuana is illegal because of amoral politics, that seek to impose upon the freedoms once enjoyed.

  • @BraniusBalki I know right.. but the majority doesn't know that though...

  • Your a GOOD man Montel...! Im glad we have people like you on this earth to speak for us

  • marijuana ftw

  • DEA = Dumb Evil Assholes x 420

US [Marijuana] Patent # 6,630,507 was obtained in 2003 and is titled "Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants" and claims "Cannabinoids have been found to have antioxidant properties... cannabinoids are found to have particular applications as neuroprotectants... limiting neurological damage following... stroke and trauma... or in treatment of neurodegenerative diseases... such as Alzheimer's... Parkinson's... and HIV dementia".

  • come to Canada Montel...1 license needed, unlike u.s. . am i right in understanding that you need a permit for mm from individual states...what a crock.

  • @AntiFaithNY That's true.

Growing tobacco is much more challenging and expensive than growing pot. That's not to say that the government wouldn't profit. They would. They just wouldn't be able to stop small-time producers from profiting.

The war on drugs seems to be more about keeping money out of the hands of the disadvantaged. We surely can't have some man from the ghetto driving the same type of car as his elected official.

  • the dea is all scared that their job security will be lower if marijuana would become legal lol

  • Very well put across...thank you.

  • That program leader always interrupts!!

  • Get the government out of business.

  • One of the first laws made in jamestown way back when was the growing of hemp because it was a more efficient way to handle multiple tasks, ... So basically growin weed and rollin up is just patriotic

  • <3 LibertyPen

  • 1:50 the guy is fukin stoned

  • @rafyiscool super baked

  • Americans need to wake up to cannabis and the thousands of uses for it. Reschedule, educate and use responcibly. FREE THE WEED

  • sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

lets take our country back folks!

respect for montell williams a true american

  • Sativex..the spray manufacturaed by GW is not as far as I am aware, available for prescription in the Uk.I was advised this by my GP two months ago.

  • @rhylmart it's made there, pretty sure your GP was yankin your chain

  • @casualtySR it doesnt matter where it's made...if a doctor is told not to prescribe it..then they won't

  • @rhylmart it is legal for prescription there.. go to gwpharma's website

  • @casualtySR trust me..I live here. GP's unable to prescribe...I guess theyre afraid to reveal the truth!!

  • DEA Lie.

  • there's lots of proof it works, listen to these people that say it does things for them! and there u go.. fuck

  • Damn!!! John Stossel got told!!! Way to go, Montel!!! You're my hero!!! I think Marijuana should be legal for medicinal and recreational purposes... Alcohol is more dangerous than pot... And it's legal for anybody over 21... And, being 21 is the only requirement... It doesn't matter if you're an irresponsible 21 year old or not, you can still have it... Wow... That's kinda' dumb... Why not legalize pot if it's less harmful and it affects the mind just like alcohol??? I rest my case...

  • Stossel supports drug use of marijuana and prostitution and you know it. Hes playing the part as an interviewer idiot.

  • @FriscoAnderson actually stossel agrees with him

  • montell is a good man

  • The reason why I don't like legalizing marijuana is because the government wouldn't know how to distribute it. We'd see long lines at the dispensaries, no choices over what kind of marijuana, and more importantly people would rather just buy the seeds and grow it themselves. This would go against the government regulation and revenue over marijuana, government would simply just be paying for people's weed and see no gain back. Waste of tax payer money!

  • not evil people in the DEA?!? maybe just systemic bias LOL

  • lol montel is high in this interview.

  • As an avid closet marijuana smoker I find that it does help suppress pain and it helps want to keep on living. I know that sounds weird but it is true in the most honest sense of the word. I look forward to every chance I get to smoke up. I say legalize it so I can put a few seeds in my garden and care for it the way it cares for me, sorta.

  • why is spain and tialand cureing cancer and the US is not research this is is true sad but true

  • @olympic66power In fact, the first ever experiment documenting pot’s anti-tumor effects took place in 1974 at the Medical College of Virginia at the behest of the U.S. government. The results of that study, immortalized in an August 18, 1974 Washington Post newspaper feature, were that "THC slowed the growth of lung cancers, breast cancers and a virus-induced leukemia in laboratory mice, and prolonged their lives by as much as 36 percent."

  • LOL 5:13 WATCH THE LADY ROLL HER EYES, AND THEN LISTEN TO ALL THE WAYS HE LIKES TO USE MARIJUANA.....AND I'D VAPORIZE IT!!! LOLOL

  • There is no reason for pot to be illegal. At all.

It is no different from having a beer or smoking a cigarette.

Smoking it does not "remove you from reality". It simply makes one feel relaxed, hungry, and happy. If you say otherwise you have obviously not smoked it.

  • further proof of the DEA's inefficiency

  • Montel was a Naval Officer if I remember correctly. Very smart guy.

  • I really didn't like the final comment on taxes being a "right", but that's beside the point. It's ridiculous that one cant smoke weed without it turning you in to a criminal.

  • Semper Fi Montel.

  • Another theory for criminalizing marijuana is alcohol became legal in 1933 so they needed something else to have a "war" with easy target was marijuana

  • Montel is right! fuck everybody who disagrees

  • Smoke pot all you want, just don't make me support you when you are too spaced out and lazy to support yourself.

I think this is a States Rights issue.

  • @espada9

Smoking doesn't make you lazy it; it makes you a stoner.

Refusing to get a job because you want to smoke while living off society makes you a lazy stoner.

  • @Smokecrackcain Talking about marijuana as the reason for this societal problem makes you a lazy thinker. Marijuana cures cancer. Time to wake up.

  • @espada9 wtf? States rights issue? This is in an individual rights issue pal.

  • @hellevonequities yea i cant believe that comment got any thumbs up at all..what a fuckin goon!

  • I don't really care whether it has medical benefits or not. I'm not medically trained at all, but I'm not convinced that marijuana is that medically beneficial. Irregardless, all drugs should be legalized; good for us or not.

  • montel always made me sick. he still does. on this issue, thuogh, he's right on.

  • 100% well put, the facts and nothing but the facts, thank you!!!!

  • Huh. Never gave much thought to Montel. For some reason I always coupled him with the likes of Jerry Springer and Maury. He seems like a smart guy.

  • ive always like montel. not simply because i agree with him but watching his show, when i was younger, i always considered him to be a very thoughtful person

  • Clearly, we need to outlaw free will.

  • @selfrealizedexile lol yes, but anti-freedomers already sold their soul to the totalitarian state. So theyre not losing anything.

  • well said Montel, power to ya

  • He looks like a black sir Ben Kingsley.

  • .

Montel's are stellar. But the most basic question that we have to ask ourselves every time we parrot the words "land of the free, home of the brave" is are we really? Where is the freedom for me to determine by my own choice what goes into my body? If I can't control my body by govt decree then that makes me a slave to the whim of the state.

    .

    .

  • I have no problem making the pill or spray form legal.

Smoking ANYTHING is bad for you.

  • @Brantoc no guns are bad for people.. cannabis doesn't kill but guns do..ask all those dead Mexicans..America should be like Britain..guns are just bad

  • @gollyanamegame Like Britain? umm no. We like having freedom, and not living under the multinationalists in the EU.

As for guns, they are inanimate objects. It requires an individual to commit an act, same as a kitchen knife, or a rock.

I have no problem with the spray or pill form being used for medical purposes, but if you need an 'escape' from reality though any drug, then you have a mental issue that should be psychologically treated.

  • @Brantoc Would you ban alcohol because it provides an "escape from reality?" Be honest - because it absolutely does! I don't do drugs of any variety but who am I to tell others that they don't have a right to escape from reality?

  • @Brantoc As for guns, they are inanimate objects. It requires an individual to commit an act, same as a kitchen knife, or a rock...I am actually pro gun but this is the best way for me to make my point..Blame the person not the drug..its the individual..its called personal response ability..its whats killing America

  • @gollyanamegame I am all for personal responsibility, but I am also for laws to encourage people to do what is in their best interest. It is illegal to smoke a joint, and should be. If you have a medical condition and need the ingredient, then the spray or pill form are what you need, not want. need. I'd love to smoke pot and never work, just munch on the government dole. I would consider myself weak for it, but many would do that all day long. Protect US from THEM. Keep it illegal to smoke.

  • @Brantoc Again, you are mistaken. I personally don't smoke anymore. But when I did smoke I worked 50-60 hours a week and advanced quite rapidly at my job. You saying it should stay illegal because people will just loaf around all day is pure stupidity (on so many levels). But no matter what I write here you will most likely stay ignorant until the day you die. I hope I am wrong and you come to see the error in your logic... funny though, smoking a joint would probably help you see that error.

  • @Brantoc @Brantoc "As for guns, they are inanimate objects. It requires an individual to commit an act, same as a kitchen knife, or a rock. " -- The same can be said to rationalize drug use. Having mental issues and having the freedom to choose whatever to shove down your throat are seperate matters. As for "escaping", the same can be said to simple hobbies ie collecting stamps. Cigar is a drug, alcohol is a drug, do intakers also need psychological treatments?

  • @idontgiveashit0930 Yes. People with compulsive disorders have "disorders" drugs, and alcohol exacerbate their symptoms, but yes anyone who is addicted to WoW as an example does need help. But let me say equating WoW to crack, while funny, is not correct. Some people want to take their crack and live in peace, which doesn't even make since to me, since a zombie has higher cognitive function than most crackheads. Personally I drink rarely, never to excess. I never smoke anything, and I am happy.

  • @Brantoc You did not address why equating wow and crack while both being a hobby is incorrect. Some folks want to take their wow and live in peace, just like crack you mentioned, and WTF is up with the zombie conversation? I couldnt careless whether you drink or not, its irrelevant.

  • @Brantoc May 26 2 West Ark. police are shot down..Sorry Brantoc but we cant trust people to have guns..you maybe ok but its the others we worry about.. its easier to remove all of guns for societies sake..so many people with guns have mental deficiencies that its just best for everyone..and Waco is a perfect example. people will always be out gunned by the government which will always led to a Waco moment with gun kooks. Thats the logic you use..its crap

  • @gollyanamegame, No government has been completely successful in a prohibition of drugs. How then do you think they can stop guns from entering any country illegally. When you outlaw guns only criminals have them and cops still get shot. In countries where guns are illegal like England violent crime is worse off then before guns were illegal. Same with Australia.

  • @Brantoc "escape from reality"? You have no idea what the hell you are talking about when you use that stupid phrase in reference to cannabis. Alcohol is the ultimate "escape from reality" and cannabis is a microscope on reality. In fact, that is probably why some people don't like to smoke it, because it tends heavily toward introspection and some people don't like what they see (i.e. they are assholes and refuse to acknowledge it).

  • @gollyanamegame Britain has a higher violent crime rate than the US and any country in Europe.

  • @yammyspeed13 ya its true

  • @gollyanamegame Guns protect us, governments don't. 2nd amendment was written because colonists weren't allowed to have guns. Govenrments are less likely to take away your freedom if your pointing a gun back at them, Waco, TX excluded.

  • @bajoverga I totally agree, its a personal freedom

  • Marijuana needs to be removed from schedule 1. Schedule 1 means that the Fed declares that it has no medicinal value whatsoever and research is restrained or prohibited. Schedule 4 or 3 is more in line with MJs nature.
