  • Hi,it was a very bad day, sorry for your loss, I was 18 and with the St Andrews Ambulance Corps, Linthouse Section, we were the first there, we can never forget,

    William,

  • scottish tim, you are an absalute Idiot, trying to score points through the passing of our 66 , total idiot whos lower than a snakes belly, go away and make satins tea ya mug

  • I was researching the Hillsborough disaster and came across Ibrox, a tragedy I admit to having known nothing about. Wow, very sad circumstances. Having such a personal connection via YouTube was unexpected- it should remind all of us how fragile life is, and that many more lives were forever affected with each of the 66 lost that day. Thanks for posting this lovely tribute. May God Bless all the victims that day, and also the families that were so devastated.

  • .....my dad got home that night. I was only 6 at the time but can remember the horror of it all as even at that young age it sunk in what had happened. So sorry for your loss and once again, nice tribute to the 66.

  • Nice tribute to your dad mate. A very dignified answer to scottishtim who is obviously taking a cheap jibe at Gers. Only you know and the other relatives know the real pain of that day. My dad was hurt at the 1961 game on same stairway (infact he ended up on top of one of those who died),hardly ever used that stair again when there was a big match. He was at the match in 1971 and entered via stairway 13 but said to his mates he would go in that way but not leave that way.they left via 19.......

  • In the description u sed ur died was killed in the January ibrox disaster-

    I feel sorry for you

  • Why in gods name are fighting to bring back terracing? Do these people who are fighting for terracing are actually inviting Ibrox and hillsborough to happen all over again. All seater stadiums came at far too big of cost. R.I.P our absent friends

  • WILLIE WADDELL KNEW!!! During 1963, concerns were raised about the safety of the stairway adjacent to passageway 13 the exit closest to Copland Road subway station. On 16 September 1961 two people were killed in a crush on the stairway, and there were two other incidents where several people were injured. WILLIE WADDELL KNEW AND DID NOTHING TO PREVENT THIS TERRIBLE DISASTER!!!!!!

  • @SCOTTISHTIM hi there, you left me a message about willie waddle knowing the dangers of stairway 13. i know he knew, i read the fatal accident stuff back in 1986, they all knew the dangers of that stairway and did fuck all about it, well except make the only escape route impossilble to escape from!! so i am not sure if you posted that to inform me? or to have a go at rangers fans? but that video is not about rangers, its there as a memorial to my dad. so thank you for posting a comment on it

  • r.i.p to your ald man and to the rest who died so needlessly that day we need you rangers fans to make our games so much to look forward to every time wee play love and thoughts celtic fan alexander dundee

  • i took my 5 year old boy to the memorial service. he was cold, but never complained as he knew we had come to pay respects to all those "who had gone to god" in another forty years time he will still remember the time his old dad taught him an early lesson in life, that rangers are a family and we will never forget

  • @otissherman yes it was pretty cold

  • Well done for compiling a very touching, personal and tasteful tribute to your father. An Arsenal fan, Celtic are my second team. Nevertheless, the human feelings of pain and suffering do not respect man-made tribal boundaries, and I share your grief and admire your dignity.

  • I thought of youre video as we stood in silence at Ibrox yesterday ! Very moving tribute to youre father and the other 65 victims , may they all rest in peace ! All the very best for 2011 bud !

  • I am a Celtic fan from Dublin and my thoughts are prayers are with all who died so tragically. I love your brilliant city and great people. May they all RIP.

  • i didnt knew it about this "trouble"...RIP ALL

  • G'day mate

Partick Thistle supporter from Sydney Australia

Surely a most heartfelt tribute to your dad, and to all others who have unfortunately been injured or killed in a situation such as this

You should be proud of what you have compiled and presented here - I am very sure he would have been

I trust his memory stays strong with you, they will never be forgotten by caring people, irrespective of what colour their team is

    take care Chief

    cheers from 'The land downUnda'

  • We will never forget them.

  • Gone but never forgotten.

At the going down of the Sun

And in the morning we shall remember them.

May they forever rest in peace.

  • true ranger people.

    my condolences.

  • As someone who lost a friend at Hillsborough, it saddens me that in tragic times like this, fans from certainclubs choose to abuse the tributes that we hold on anniversaries such as the 40th of the Ibrox disaster which is fast approaching. Hopefully, in time, all the bigotism, racism and other facets of the game we dearly love will be confined to the history books, and events like this will not only be prevented, and the poor souls who lost their lives be rightly remembered and paid tribute.

  • Hi Craig

I cannot begin to understand how it must feel to lose your father at a game of football. I hope as the 40th anniversary draws near that you find some comfort in the the messages of support posted on here. What happened that day is unthinkable and an absolute tragedy. I wish you and your family well at this difficult time of reflection and rememberance.

    Stevie

  • Very sad and very tragic that this happened, i feel for anyone who loses a family member or friend just because they attended a football game. RIP all 66 who perished that day.

  • Gone but never forgotten

    RIP

  • RIP to your Dad and the 65 others.

    Gone but never forgotten.

  • VERY TOUCHING, SO SAD.

  • Beautiful! God Bless You Craig.

  • Respect and dignity..... I have travelled all over Europe with my son and friends to watch football.

I have no idea how traumatic it must have been to the survivors and the families.

Your video brought a tear to my eye.. well done and thanks for sharing

I will be at Ibrox for this years memorial service with my boy at my side....

  • Anyone wishing to contact me please feel free. At crasmi11@hotmail.com

  • Great tribute.

I can still remember the day itself like it was yesterday.

I'm sure your dad would be proud.

  • @martys1916 i've printed off your comments and will take them to the police for investigation, your comments are offensive, disgraceful and dis-honour the memory of innocent football fans who tragically lost their lives, i hope your identity becomes public so that your family and friends know how sad you really are.

  • r.i.p

  • May your dad rest in peace.

  • @martys1916 you are a fucking disgrace.

  • Great tribute. The people who mock this are sick in the head. Pathetic how they can feel so strongly aut a football club they have to mock the dead of their rival supporters. It makes me sick to their stomach that there are evil people like this alive. RIP everyone who died in that disaster, as well as Hillsborough, Bradford, Heysel, and Burnden Park, and whatever other tragedy I may have missed off.

  • EVERYTIME i watch this video i well up ..sorry for your loss.ABSENT FRIENDS

  • There always will be idiots Cramsi mate, there was in you old dads days and there is now, the Internet has just provided the cowards ans retards a greater platform to spout their inane, hateful and thoroughly retarded ramblings.

One thing I gathered from your old mans pics was that he would never have shied away from it, he looks like the type of man who'd laugh of their hatred, shrug it off and go about life like the rest of us...

You doing the same mate....its heartwarming

  • Here's to Absent Friends!

  • Craig; What a lovely tribute to your late father. I would have been 13 at the time but can vividly remember the disaster being reported on the radio as my father and I travelled back from a game, probably a Man U game. As long as there a good people like yourself posting videos like this, the innocents will never be forgotten and quite rightly so.

  • god bless, really sorry for your loss, your dad would be proud of you for not forgetting him and puttig this lovely video up-theres more that unites us than divides us-joe -celtic fan

  • Comment removed

  • That is very moving. I'm sitting with tears in my eyes and the hairs on my neck bristling. Your dad would be very proud of this tribute.

  • I can only echo the thoughts of boxer 753 - an incredibly heartfelt tribute to your dad, and shame on those idiots who choose to sully this video. They certainly dont speak for true football fans of any club.

May your dad and the others rest in peace.

    A Celtic fan

  • great video , touching stuff. going by the photos im about the age of yourself. my heart goes out to you. to your father and all the others that died that day they will never be forgotten. R.I.P.

  • It's hard to believe that next year will be forty years since this day. I still remember watching the foggy TV pictures that day. They will never be forgotten !

  • A very moving video beautifully put together, I think I can say without fear of causing offence, that your father would've been very proud of this tribute, what a lovely way for someone to be remembered, "til you and your father meet again..... good luck and thank you for sharing this, a Hibs fan (35)

  • @boxer753

    Meet in hell ye mean!

Trust a HIVs man tae feed the Orcs.....A-Typical!!

  • MikiS67007 and GlowhilS1 Your 2 big jerk-offs

  • Wow, that was really sad. Your dad was one HANDSOME man. What a shame. The little boy is a cutie.

  • crasmi11 you dad is in our hearts

    gone but not forgotten

    R.I.P

  • I was only 10 years old and not a football fan yet I remember this as vividly as I did way back then. When the first newflash came through my brother in law was really worried as his brother was at the match (Rangers fan). He came home safely but 66 people didnt and it didnt matter then who you supported, everyone pulled together and helped. Maybe a bit more of that spirit wouldnt go amiss today! RIP all 66 who lost their lives, you will never be forgotten!

  • God always be with all those that suffered at Ibrox that terrible day. May it serve to always unite the fans in their darkest hour and in doing so, bring comfort those that are broken in spirit.

    From Ian...........a Liverpool supporter.

  • RIP

  • i'm a Celtic supporter but my heart goes out when i see this RIP !

  • thanks to all who have left comments, it still seems tho there are some who cant understand the video is not about rangers/celtic and who continue to spout venom. thankfully i can block and remove them. thanks to all of you who have supported and find the video good. best wishes, craig

Hunh8tr you need to get a life son you wood not like if it was you dad

  • Hunskelper is truly a sick scumbag, eh.

There was 23 children killed that day and your laughing.

Such a big man you are arent you ??

    It doesnt relly surprise me.

coming from a religion as you do, that rapes and abuses children and a follower of a football club that raped and abused kids in there care at Celtic Boys club.

    Grow up ya sad prick.

  • are you not getting your 9 in a row captain muddled up, when your talking about child molesting. PEADO LOYAL RFC

  • From a Celtic fan- RIP to all of those innocent people who tragically lost their lives that day. Yet, people are wanting bringing terraces and standing areas brought back into football for a better atmosphere? The reason we can't is because of events like this and Hillsbrough.

  • r.i.p to all how died in that game rip

  • Dislike Rangers completely but these were normal human beings they did not deserve to die to be treated like scum to be caged in like animals. dreadful to think that british society did not learn from ibrox disaster and a worse disaster was allowed to happen in Hillsboro 18 years later in 89. Inexcusable

    Mark

  • We all share Glasgow/Scotland and it's more than football , we know that.

However, culture & tradition only hold so much, humanity towers much higher.

We'd all pull our fenian/orange bastard neighbour out a burning fire or frosty lake, then abuse him the next week after his team got stuffed.

    Football/tradition will never beat humanity.

Lovely tribute, god bless your old man.

  • my dad was there and he pulled somone out of the mess it was really bad

  • gone!but never forgotten.

they will live in our hearts forever.

    lest we forget.

  • We will never forget them, WATP

  • Lest we forget

  • I'm sorry for your loss. May your father rest in peace, as well as the others who died there.

  • this video fills my eyes with tears..

although im not a ranger or celtic supporter

    best wishes from gemany

  • My dad was at Heysel, I was luckier than you my friend... My respect and prayers for all the people who died in a (supposed) day of sport: Ibrox, Heysel, Hillsborough and so on...

  • dont like rangers, but must be terrible to lose a relative your dad like that.dead sad video

  • without doubt, this is one of the most beuatiful pieces i have ever seen. It is just made complete by the fact that both rangers, celtic, and all sorts of fans have united in the memory of both your father, and the other 65 lives that were so tragically lost on that day...

    15 years old

RIP THE 66 INOCENT LIVES LOST

  • Breaks my heart, every time I watch it

  • On the pitch I may despise Rangers FC but off the pitch there are many innocent fans who human beings. It makes me sick when I hear my fellow Aberdeen fans singing about te Ibrox Disaster. No one should ever have to lose someone close to them in these circumstances even if they are a Rangers fan, Celtic Fan, Dundee UTD fan or what ever it is.

    RIP from an Aberdeen fan

  • @euanrocks

Least you are a decent aberdeen fan unlike some of your fellow fans who think it is funny to mock the tragic deaths of the 66 and mock Durrants career threating injury.
