and unffortunately for any jailbroken idevice when deleted it will leave you a nasty little gift. basically jailbreak is not a programme its a virus and when you try to delete it its more of a trigger than deletion. its not a very severe virus but it will stop you from getting the iOS5 and will also mess up a couple apps. am currently working on a way of permanently getting rid. only way i know so far is to create a counter virus

Basicaly guys the reason you back up is to save all the previous music/ videos etc on your phone. When restored you loose everything including music /videos. Then you back up and it puts all the music/info etc back on as it was before but without the jailbreak :) Thumbs up so people can see :)

@piinkgothbabe I think i managed to trick it. The only way is to click update (Which wipes the whole ipod) and then after it wipes the whole ipod it says verifying restore with apple and it just stays like that. I restarted my laptop and opened up itunes and now it is backing up the ipod with the new update without it telling me im not eligible for restore. So i think i may have got it to work, ill tell you if it works.
