You would almost think the robot walking away serenely on fire was in love with the robot that exploded... It's so sad :( But so beautiful. Many times I've felt like this myself (not on fire, however) and I don't think anyone could sing my feelings more accuratly. ~Dylan Heart
so introspective and haunting... I was fortunate to receive a letter from Jackson C, Frank in the 1980s in which his tortured life was laid out going back to the elementary school fire in which he was burned and several classmates lost their lives... there was a gentlemen in Woodstock who took care of him for many years and he was able to send me a tape or two on his more recent songs.. Frank, Denny and Drake......always connected, always introspective, always haunting, always the best forever
for people who make such loud, jubilant dance music, they sure did flip the script with this film. i dont think i've ever felt so depressed watching something before. my heart felt heavy, even way after the film ended. but it was a good heavy.
"When Jackson Frank was 11, a furnace exploded at his school, sending a ball of flames down corridors until it ended up in Frank's music classroom in the Cleveland Hill Elementary School in Cheektowaga, New York. The fire killed eighteen of his fellow students and burned over more than half his body."
The video fits perfectly. Beautiful song. Just beautiful.
daft punk are amazing, everybody should watch this movie, it's fantastic, really hits you deep. But be prepared to bring your patience in bucketloads, because there are some LONG scenes. All worth it, though.
Is this version just the original recording, just clean up real well by daft punk and taken up a few steps in octave, or is it a different take cleaned up by daft punk for this....i must know
Whoa....this image is haunting. Frank survived a school fire (1954) and spent 7 months in the hospital recovering. 15 of his classmates did not survive.
