  • Kids. Before Serato and the like THIS is how you found and delivered your samples.

  • can we stop the debating to talk about how much of a boss he is.

  • @TheBrainfood Hip Hop hasn't become limiting, there are still Hip Hop songs with great beats to cut for a hip hop battle - just ask the current DMC World Champ (DJ Vajra) - his winning routine was mostly Hip Hop. Just that a lot of the other guys enjoy using songs in battles that no one would even listen to outside of their battle routine

  • this guy is so good.

  • so clean

  • He's wearing the same exact shirt from 1997.

  • @iwant2bnemoboy agreed, wat i ment was west coast tunes (now a days) use synths and other electronic aspects. east coast does use a lot of sampling as well but its more live instrument sampling...so agree to disagree...my main point is the EDM is not soley "rave" music

  • Who gives a damn about the type of sound is he produces. That duck sauce samples was used several times before him anyways. But DJ-wise he's very good...

  • Technically hip hop is EDM as well...hip hop (especially west coast) is all sample based..therefore electronically made n im pretty sure ppl dance to hip hop makin it Electronic Dance Music, not all EDM is solely Techno, House, Electro, Dubstep, Drum n Bass ect, ect...and NO!! Techno is NOT the correct term to define electronica...Techno arrived frm Detroit n House arrived frm Chicago

  • hahaha Carl Cox techno?? fail

  • @Myre37 Carl Cox is the Godfather of Techno, He and a few others introduced true Techno (Belgian / Dutch / German) to the UK dance scene back in 89/90...

He went onto play Hardcore till again going back to his roots in 93 when he took the Techno tree with the likes of Clarkee, while most took the Drum n Bass root.

Unfortunately for comercial reasons he now plays house!

  • Damn sounded like 2step garage when he sped up those songs Dope!

  • A - Train !

    Love Tony Prince

  • i love him ....!

  • "Ortofon accuracy = SHURE"

  • @loldjsTV hahaha!! I noticed the same thing! Looks like m44's

  • lol at 4:38

  • @katchrisg @73ztrba6

  • anyone know the first track ? from 0:10 to 0:40 plz ? thank's !!

  • Which track is the one he's mixing with on 2:59 when it goes "aw yeah" ??/

  • UMAD ATRAK?

    WHY UMAD

  • UMAD ATRAK?

  • Siiiiiickk!!!

  • Uh... I know this guy. He's my friend. (Top that!) *stunt*

  • @LocksmithMusic i'm his mum

  • sick

  • name song 2:12???

  • did he win this year?

  • @TheDjBlueprint didnt enter... think craze won this year? Dexter 2nd?? and money got 3rd equal if my memory is correct??

  • @mataafa1 naw craze won 98 99 2000, plus one won 2001

  • @eatoursheet oh yip your right, thanks for that. Was klever 2nd the year plus one won???

  • @mataafa1 klever won the us finals in 2000 i think. maybe 99. but not the world finals

  • @mataafa1 Klever got 2nd place at the 2001 World Finals. IMO I think his set was good enough to be 1st but some needle skipping at his last part of the routine. Plus One is still beast though.

  • de la soul feat. redman - ooh is the name of the song

  • anybody know wat song he opens with?

  • wats the song he opens wid in this? its legit

  • @gh0stfaze oooh redman and de la

  • @straightsourdiesel Um not its all classified as electronic/dance music not techno buddy, do some reasearch and then talk to me... not to be rude or anything but its true alot of people would tell you the same

  • what song is that that starts at 4:16 ? aint none of yall better than me? i like teh bass

  • @DJBOYARDEE i mean 4:13 lol

  • @DJBOYARDEE you can find the sample on DJ Craze's Bully Breaks record which i believe is what A-Trak is using for this routine.

  • @djAudio thanks man.

  • ARGH when he cuts 'Get Your Freak On' with that clip from 'Ooh'...magic!

  • Where's the first beat from ???

  • Ooh - De La Soul ft Redman

  • Thank You :D

  • for the last time he produces ELECTRO AND HOUSE!!! not techno!! techno is carl cox and dave clarke people but yeah he is tight especially his project in duck sauce he really bringin the house movement with the legend armand van helden!! man just cause you dont like dance genre music doesnt mean you have to hate bro your a dumbass honestly just keep your mouth shut and enjoy atrak like everybody else =)

  • CARL COX produces and mixes house music...

  • @zarrylarou Are you stupid?

  • Check out van Helden's New York:: A Mix Odyssey if you hvaen't already, some real gems on there

  • @DJVID05 well he does produce plenty of techno or rave music what ever u wana call it but who cares, hes one helluva dj

  • @Davemo69 EDM aka Electronic dance music yo.

  • @neotees AMUA ironically "AKA" another made up acronym. what you telling me for dude, its still rave or dance music too.

  • @Davemo69 Made up? Just telling you how it is man. Education is the only way to end the mislabeling.

  • @neotees this aint no mislabeling you saying he dont make rave music what teh hell do u think edm is on the beach at ibiza and some nutty rave you hear electronic dance music, theres nothing wrong with being a raver and hes working with armand van helden one of the biggest ravers ever dude it aint mislabeling its snobery by you not wanting ur favourite artist to be called what you dont want

  • @Davemo69 What the hell are you on about. I'm talking about the way peopel refer to EDM as techno, when you know there are so many genres. I know what EDM is, I know what rave music is, check out my vids for god's sake.

  • @neotees edm is just somehting someone made up its another name for the same type of music dance/techno/rave mostly made electronicaly its all teh sa,me dude

  • @Davemo69 Techno is a specific genre within EDM.

  • @neotees yea its all under one umbrella dude, he still makes waht i said but hesa hip hop man through and through

  • @Davemo69 This was never a discussion about Atrak, but the fact that people wrongly call all electronic genres 'techno'.

  • @neotees well i duno about that i never done that ne way what i did do tho was say he makes techno which he does and i think the line between tech noir and edm is so faintthat it doesnt matter its ll made electronically its all music its all to make u dance

  • @DJVID05 lol techo is a genre with styles inside of it....electro/house/dutch house/drum n bass/ dub-step...its all "techno"

  • @straightsourdiesel no man absolutely not, the thing about techno having styles inside of it is true, but it contains for example Minimal, tech house or minus, but not electro house, house or dutch...

  • @straightsourdiesel House Came Out Before Techno

  • @straightsourdiesel hah no. its electronica. that has many genres inside....

  • @DJVID05 Carl Cox is house mate..

  • @DJVID05 wtf are you saying.....Carl cox is house bro.

  • @thedarkone973 idk carl mostly stuck with techno after hes more techno to me...is he still producing house??? exactly cased closed.

  • @DJVID05 Hi I know this reply is a year late but I just had to agree with everything you say. All my friends who are just into metal think every type of electronic music is Techno! They haven't a clue. They'll hear some crappy "happy hardcore" & think it's Techno! It pisses me off! Real Techno has a kind of raw feel to it. Anyway, just had to get that off my chest. Peace.

  • @DJVID05 Actually, carl cox is more tech house. Not that I care, but you seem to find it of great importance.

  • noticed the tribute to mixmastermikes demo set (along with q-bert) from dmc 1995 at 3:38 ?

  • this is one of the best sessions ive ever heard he keeps aflow that most new djs lose with there technical use theese days, the bit at around 6 minutes wer he does the tune from peter piper is incredible i didnt hear ne cheers thatannoys me

  • blaze your a bum fool. This kid is a beast

  • I'm not sayin he won't get betta, he's just sound sloppy as fucc on here...Y'all ppl really need 2 tune ur ears, I can tell y'all no nuthin about tha blacc culture..It's called STAY ON BEAT!!!! just cuz you add a lil accap sounds er now & then don't make u no dj...aka Blaze

  • So .......... if you're not black ... you can't scratch? Seems a little racist, wouldn't you say?

and before you reply please note I don't give a fuck.

  • first of all analher hes still better than your bitch ass and second he doesnt do techno you ignorant piece of shit

  • well 1st of all djdic69 checc urself, why u europe quakers get so mad when sum blacc person criticize on y'all non rhythm mutha fuccas...Y'all would go 2 the extreme 2 come 2 our hood just 2 learn tha blacc culture...Sticc 2 ur own music & style & we'll sticc 2 ours..U faggot ass bitch, like u hard or sumthin I fucc yo bitch ass up...aka Blaze

  • that is wrong, a trak has played at countless raves and he produces his own and remixes house and techno songs.

but yea a trak is the shit.. he makes bomb music and he can scratch like this

  • Awesome skills superbly executed.

  • Comment removed

  • @analher

why do you say aka blaze after everything

  • always known as Blaze..dat's who I be!!! aka Blaze

  • @analher

why is your name not blaze then

  • In reality for a niccname it is, but on here I rep that I luv 2 fucc big booty honeys in tha ass...aka Blaze

  • @analher ha u realize he won DMC world dj championship in 97 at 15 years old.. ha

  • If he did he had 2 know sumbody cuz tha shit he doin now is sloppy as fucc..Listen 2 how you can hear extra movenment when he's cuttin an beat juggling, not good if ur gonna rep DMC..Like I said he knew sumbody if he won..aka Blaze

  • you're retarded. a trak tears shit up.. i woud like to see you do a better scratch set than that.. or the one when he was 15

    he is savage

  • if people can scratch they can scratch. has nothing to do with whether they are black or not. if you put up a video people aren't gonna practice being you, but i'm sure you just like everyone else watch other people scratch to learn from them. so that excuse is pretty lame. a thousand dollars isn't much money compared to the weight i push.

oh and please stop talking like you have never spoken english before, it makes you look less intelligent.. aka a trak would work you in a battle

  • ahh shiieett dammn foo you soun lik soo daym tite talkin like diss lik u iz ain't not able to spit good english homie fool dawg. tha weight i push is fatta than yo pussy ass bitch ass weight ahh shiieett foo shiitttt anyy day i got dat cash money its hardcore foo damn shiieettt u got a staff? like at burger king? shiiiitttttttttt

  • Comment removed

  • class

  • Naiceee !

  • whats the first song

  • The first song is: De La Soul feat Redman - Oooh.

  • Blown away by his set. Especially when he introduced the Kraftwerk sample.

  • anyone know the beat at 2:40??

    I WANT IT SSSOOO BAADDD!!!!

  • dj swamp tool

  • you got a link to it??

  • please tell me what the record is called. i think it might be a dj swamp one but i aint sure. cheers dude

  • great part , that thing at the end with Kraftwerks Trans Europe Express, ..

  • starting at 2:40 he melts some fucking faces

  • some nice 2-step at 1:30

  • such a good set

  • when you can win the DMC at 15 you can talk.

    DOUCHE

  • he was a quest in the 2001.... just like craze was in the uk finals

  • thanks mate, there was something weird about it but i couldn't put my finger on it, thanks

  • cos he wont even in it you clown

  • one of his best sets and he didn't even make it in the top 3

  • hes goofy looking

  • craze > a-trak imo.

  • DJ Craze is the kinda turntables you can listen to while going about your business, and he makes excellent dance music. DJ A-Trak is the kinda turntables you really need to listen to, because his shit is mad technical.

Both are very good, imo. I'm in favor of Craze over A-trak, but A-trak can rip Craze up if he wanted to.

  • rip craze up? hmmm...dunno bout that. check craze during dmc summit 06.

  • naw. Craze is still better. But I like Atrak a lot.

  • people praise his technicality, but there's a rawness to some of his shit that makes him one of the best

  • wats the first track

  • Ooh - De La Soul feat. Redman

  • what's the track at 6:30?

  • That record is one of the scratch DJ's "must have", Super Duper Duck Breaks.

  • that de la part is sick

  • man his shoulders are so close

  • So, should he have competed that year? Would he have beaten Plus One?

  • panrick, i totally agree. we're sentient beings. if you're breaking, cyphering in the crowd or just dancing your ass of, then dj's are great (especially if they have an ecclectic taste and know who to mix style, attitude and shit to get it pumped), but as far as just watching a dj...i guess battles like scribjam are pretty cool, but it gets fucking boring after like 10 minutes. ok, now let me get set. alright. i'm ready for everyone else's comments. lets go. i can deal.

  • I was really into turntablism back in the 90's but now I'm kinda over it. It's boring to watch and certainly to listen to.

  • This is a showcase @ D.M.C. 2001. I always thought he won in 96 cos of his age. hes the bomb now though. ALLIES were like the new x-ecutioners, t.table thugs. love the Missy E. juggle, SHIFT-B.P.M.

  • dajum

  • can someone explain how he used a vestax mixer?....was he competing in this or just a special guest?

  • probably just a showcase, not competing, but im not sure

  • yeah probably cause he went passed 6 mins

  • This isnn't Dmc 2001 or dmc , its ITF 99

  • this is dmc...it says so in the beginning...and that sounds like cut master swifts voice. he always hosts dmc with tony price

  • Yep...this is a special appearance in the 2001 DMC Championships...A-Trak made a guest appearance along with the previous winner DJ Craze!!!

  • still to this day one of the dopest sets ever.

  • the only juggle i ever really liked from him was the De la soul juggle he did at the begining.

  • He only did the showcase

  • DID HE WIN

  • Yeh, probably the best routine iv ever seen, flawless!

  • naw thats one of his not great moments its cooool

but ive seen him do alot of better things go to A-Trak in China (So Exciting) thats cool
