Lets get it straight here. Nadal cannot beat Federer on grass. Federer can beat Nadal on clay, eg: Hamburg and Rome. Nadal cannot play on hard courts where his spin is just decimated by flat shots, therefore has and never will come close to winning the US Open. He has more chance at the Aussie Open but he still doesnt look gd enuff to win a title there either. So, if he fails to keep the French open this year, the thing he relies on to keep in the rankings, then I think Novak will take his place

Okay, fine. I was just sick and tired of just about everyone (with the exception of Rafael Nadal) throwing up a white surrender flag before stepping on to the court with Federer. Now it's great to see that the rest of the ATP men's tour figured this out and are willing to have a go a Federer. I also predict that US Open 2007 will be Federer's last Grand Slam. I see Federer vanishing from the tennis world in just over a year (his last competitive Grand Slam will be Wimbledon 2009).

Everytime I look at how Andy plays Roger before the semi's at the US Open, he plays him like he's afraid of Roger. But he played Rogie at the USO amazingly, he didn't win though, but he showed that he can keep up with the Fed Express. andy had double match point at 6-4 in the tiebreak on his serve and lost that point. had he just serve intensely on that point, either an ace or service winner... it was a mini-choke.

I remember I was in school when they were playing (in fact, I ws doing an history test so I hurry up and went to the computers room just to watch the live score) and Roger was very under pressure. I was scared about the score, Roddick won the first set and he was leading the second one. I don't know, I felt so nervous. But then I came hoome and I knew Roger saved... I don't, 1 or 2 match points and then he won the match!!! Poor Roddick...

James Blake has only beat Nadal on hard courts ALONE;right now Nadal has got a lot better as a player and he can trash Blake if they were to meet on clay;grass and carpet;hell I'd even put my money on Nadal on hard courts.If Blake can lose to Stepanek on hard courts why on earth wouldn't Nadal beat James?

Try to understand mine point. Polkadotluver630 claims Roddick can't beat Nadal, so he cannot beat Federer as well according to him/her. THAT IS A POOR LOGIC. So in other words, if someone cannot beat Nadal, they cannot beat Federer. Blake was just an example to prove mine point. He was one of the players that has beaten Nadal but can not beat Federer. GET IT??????????????

Nadal can trash anyone on clay. That's because clay is about who can run more rather than who can hit better shots. I'm not even sure Nadal is top 10 on hard courts.

andy had double match point at 6-4 in the tiebreak on his serve and lost that point. had he just serve intensely on that point, either an ace or service winner... it was a mini-choke.

Roddick must have been disappointed as hell, this was such a close game and I doubt roddick will ever get that close to beating hi ever again. intense game

I remember I was in school when they were playing (in fact, I ws doing an history test so I hurry up and went to the computers room just to watch the live score) and Roger was very under pressure. I was scared about the score, Roddick won the first set and he was leading the second one. I don't know, I felt so nervous. But then I came hoome and I knew Roger saved... I don't, 1 or 2 match points and then he won the match!!! Poor Roddick...

Umm, not really. Nalbandian and Hewitt both have beaten Federer a lot more times than Safin has beaten him. Although, he pwns those two now. Safin has only beaten him twice.
