he just sounds like a douche... hmm i am rather unconvinced by his justification for an edison hour seems rather silly to me as Oliver says we use technology all the time and celebrate it. There isn't really a need to focus our minds on this issue whereas the earth and sustainability is marginalised all the time. Anyway he wouldn't listen to this argument anyway because "his argument is so powerful it doesnt need explaining" yea right... no argument is so powerful it does not need explaining.

The symbolism is exactly why it's important - create awareness to change daily habits. Use less, be more efficient. It's not against technology its just raising awareness about our excessive consumption and climate change. If climate change isn't real we'll no huge loss, but if rick is wrong and we continue burning fuels as we do and global warming skyrockets then we are screwed.

@brodasakura my argument IS so powerful that its not necessary to talk about it but keeping in tradition with the above ill try to explain it anyway.. for one im a christian and according to god its a sin but to put it in a way you might accept it.. there would be alot less STDs and alot less sex crazy people if people didnt indulge in it all the time with just anyone

@chunktuff sorry, i think there's a misunderstanding. i wasn't looking for an arguement or disagreeing. your beliefs are yours alone, and far be it from me to tell you otherwise. however, while you didn't make it up your statement, it did come from a level of knowledge to a certain date. experience tells me that knowledge and interpretation change through the ages and is hardly, if ever, constant. hence, peoples opinions are their own, but to generalise for everyone is a bit presumptuous
