The best thing about it is its sail, it can warm up in the morning while all other reptiles were still cold. 2nd thing is its arms, it had a thumb claw more than 30 centimetres long which could simply cut anythings throat.

What I know is that one almost complete one was discovered in Egypt, but bombed during the Second World War, one was discovered afterwards but wasn't even near of being complete. Some bone fragments were then discovered in Morocco.

If these two ever met, Rex wouldn't even try to take on Spino because of his much larger size. The only thing that intimidates a predator is a larger predator. And if they did fight, basically all Spino would have to do is push T-Rex down (and he wouldn't be able to get up due to lack of arms), pin him down with his foot and just tear away at him. People have grave misconceptions about Spino because they "hate" him because of the movie. No scientist believes he was only a fish eater, and an animal that big (ahem, largest carnivorous dinosaur) would have to eat a LOT of food, not just small prey. They hunted large fish, sharks, hadrosaurs, and sauropods. Their teeth weren't built to tear away flesh, but they tore at their food much like crocs--swinging their prey back and forth and allowing the prey's own body mass to tear itself apart.
You know in the period spinosaurus lived there were alot of large fishes. But I do not say he only ate fish, he may have eaten some other dinosaurs but his main diet was still fish, and a lot of paleontologists have been reasearching that subject.

But he was the largest predator of his time (and discovered to date) so he probably ate whatever the heck he wanted. Their jaws are very similar to a croc's, and they eat larger animals like zebras and wildebeast all the time. If crocs can kill prey larger than itself with just it's jaws, I'm sure that Spino would have no trouble killing other large dinosaurs too.
This is classic. Everything that has to do with spinosaurus or t-rex you get the whos better argument. You guys are arguing over animals that lived MILLIONS of years ago. Spinosaurus was cool looking especially with that massive sail and large croc snout but I doubt highly that it was the apex predator that jurassic park made it out to be. As for T-rex who knows. It may have been a scavenger or the ultimate badass. We'll never know.
This is all about Jurassic Park III isn't it, and that fail fight between T-Rex and Spinosaurus? Spinosaurus based on fossil findings were actually a little bigger than T-Rex but mostly in body length, the crest on its back made it seem larger. Spino's were designed to kill smaller prey because of where it lived, and T-Rex was designed to kill larger prey because of where it lived.
Now if these 2 dino's ever met in real life (which they didn't) the edge would've been to T-Rex. The size of its teeth and its bite force could easily overpower Spinosaurus's smaller teeth and mouth. Now if you want to talk about JP3 where the Spino broke T-Rex's neck, that would not be likely. T-Rex had a very strong neck and there is no way it could've broken its neck like that because it didn't have a strong enough bite force.
I don't think it's arms would've been enough to break T-Rex's strong neck. Besides I think it's already been made clear in that fight T-Rex would've broken Spino's neck on the first bite anyways. Body size means nothing.

I am not a T-rex fanboy but the T-rex do have the strongest bite force of any recorded dinosaurs. But Spinosaurus was considerably larger, but he was very light since he had hollow bones. but I do not say he did not hunt other dinosaurs.
But I have to admit that the fight in Jp3 was pretty dumb since the spino was overpowered. and the T-rex underpowered.
Spinosaurus was factually still several tons heavier. And just so you know, T-Rex's bones were hollow as well. And the fight with JP3 was ridiculous in it's entirity. A T-Rex wouldn't chase and try to eat 5 small humans when it already has a hude dead dinosaur in front of it, and he and the Spino wouldn't just start fightng to the death for no apparent reason. Rex probably wouldn't even try to take on the Spino in the first place due to his much larger size. But yes he had the strongest bite.

The best thing about it is its sail, it can warm up in the morning while all other reptiles were still cold. 2nd thing is its arms, it had a thumb claw more than 30 centimetres long which could simply cut anythings throat.

@Northisbest not a lot, besides, they were't even complete skeletons. What I know is that one almost complete one was discovered in Egypt, but bombed during the Second World War, one was discovered afterwards but wasn't even near of being complete. Some bone fragments were then discovered in Morocco.

It's funny people are still fighting over the Spino an T-Rex debate... People do realize neither animal lived at he same time an even if they did they weren't anywhere near each other to ever have met. Also if they met they wouldn't actually fight it would more be like a Stand-Off to avoid injury...
Spino had huge claws that could fuck up a Rex if he got close enough to them, but T-Rex had a larger brain, better vision an stronger jaws.

If these two ever met, Rex wouldn't even try to take on Spino because of his much larger size. The only thing that intimidates a predator is a larger predator. And if they did fight, basically all Spino would have to do is push T-Rex down (and he wouldn't be able to get up due to lack of arms), pin him down with his foot and just tear away at him. It's like a bully on a playground. He's bigger and stronger than you. Though if Rex got a hold of Spino's neck (which would be hard) then he would win

People have grave misconceptions about Spino because they "hate" him because of the movie. No scientist believes he was only a fish eater, and an animal that big (ahem, largest carnivorous dinosaur) would have to eat a LOT of food, not just small prey. They hunted large fish, sharks, hadrosaurs, and sauropods. Their teeth weren't built to tear away flesh, but they tore at their food much like crocs--swinging their prey back and forth and allowing the prey's own body mass to tear itself apart.

I agree. His main diet was likely fish, and sharks, and whatever else lived in the water. But he was the largest predator of his time (and discovered to date) so he probably ate whatever the heck he wanted. Their jaws are very similar to a croc's, and they eat larger animals like zebras and wildebeast all the time. If crocs can kill prey larger than itself with just it's jaws, I'm sure that Spino would have no trouble killing other large dinosaurs too.

This is classic. Everything that has to do with spinosaurus or t-rex you get the whos better argument. You guys are arguing over animals that lived MILLIONS of years ago. Spinosaurus was cool looking especially with that massive sail and large croc snout but I doubt highly that it was the apex predator that jurassic park made it out to be. As for T-rex who knows. This is all about Jurassic Park III isn't it, and that fail fight between T-Rex and Spinosaurus? Spinosaurus based on fossil findings were actually a little bigger than T-Rex but mostly in body length, the crest on its back made it seem larger. Spino's were designed to kill smaller prey because of where it lived, and T-Rex was designed to kill larger prey because of where it lived.

Now if these 2 dino's ever met in real life (which they didn't) the edge would've been to T-Rex. The size of its teeth and its bite force could easily overpower Spinosaurus's smaller teeth and mouth. Now if you want to talk about JP3 where the Spino broke T-Rex's neck, that would not be likely. T-Rex had a very strong neck and there is no way it could've broken its neck like that because it didn't have a strong enough bite force.

I am not a T-rex fanboy but the T-rex do have the strongest bite force of any recorded dinosaurs. But Spinosaurus was considerably larger, but he was very light since he had hollow bones. but I do not say he did not hunt other dinosaurs.
But I have to admit that the fight in Jp3 was pretty dumb since the spino was overpowered. and the T-rex underpowered.

Spinosaurus was factually still several tons heavier. And just so you know, T-Rex's bones were hollow as well. And the fight with JP3 was ridiculous in it's entirity. A T-Rex wouldn't chase and try to eat 5 small humans when it already has a hude dead dinosaur in front of it, and he and the Spino wouldn't just start fightng to the death for no apparent reason. Rex probably wouldn't even try to take on the Spino in the first place due to his much larger size. But yes he had the strongest bite.
