I love this distorted guitar, when I listened to it first in 07 (came through Fightstar here), I hated it and thought it was horribly awful, but over the years it grew on me and I really got a soft spot for distortion and headache causing effects in music

and particularly here it emphasizes the emotional depth of the lyrics and pulls you (emotionally) more and more to the ground the further the song goes.

Fightstar did it way too fast, though it was a good interpretation. Everyone can mimic but Fightstar made it their own which is why i gotta give them credit.

But LDOA's version is way better, in my opinion. It captured the essence of the song. Duh because they wrote it :P

The Fightstar version is definitely better from a technical perspective- better playing, singing etc but this one has a sort of dreary quality to it that makes it really captivating somehow. Take your pick. I really don't like this video though, it's relentlessly pretentious.
