the music is so good. wish there was a soundtrack or something..the music reminds me of the band tortoise, i wonder if the music in this movie influenced them.
@BreezesofConey To piggy back off what I said, I think it's pretty nasty now that she let this strange guy get undressed and her into her bed without even taking a shower. I would not have thought of that back then in those days. She comes off to me as being either a real flower child or just very dumb.
@FallopianY0UTUBE Its done usually because the company wants to re release the film to make more money. To have Deniro later on on the cover would sell the film. Happens all the time with all the old films from the late sixties/early seventies
I had this movie years ago on VHS. I think it was called The Addict, and it had George Segal on the cover. Same film. Great cinema. They don't make them like this anymore, and its a damn shame.
At 1:10:10 , it is so great to see these 3 great actors (sitting at 1 table), in their pre-fame youth in this low budget classic gritty 70's NYC film! Love it & thanks for posting the whole film!
@JLogic72 I don't necessarily think this was low budget but the quality has deteriorated over the years. It's 40 years old now! Also, naturally compared to what, 18 million dollars to make one film today you cannot compare. Low budget does not always equal bad. This beats most of the "big budget" productions they are churning out these days. It also really marks a specific period in American history. Drugs were an epidemic at that time, lots of lives were ruined and continue to be today.

Damn, watching these movies makes me realize why I loved so much to live in NYC back in those days. Miss when NYC was actually filled with interesting New Yorkers and not uptight yuppies from everywhere else. Those were the days, sigh. Such different time.
depressing ending, but i loved it. needed to focus on main character a bit more. his angst was too prominent, but, on second thought, maybe it was intentional.
fabulous! thanks-good to see Miss Black in this w/ Bobby D :) xoxo

why the fuck is Robert Di Niro on the cover?
It should be George Segal!
Segal gave an amazing performance and a guy who was barely in the movie gets the cover (just cause he's famous now). It's bullshit.
Props to George Segal.
