Are these journalists delusional? These people seem to believe we are still in the Cold War. Don't accuse Europe of doing the same things that AMERICA has done ever since the II World War (trying to control half the world for fear of Communism and depriving other countries of their own sovereignty). I live in Europe (and these journalists here seem to know nothing about it), and it's hard for us to work as an economic community in the 1st place. There's no European Superstate on the horizon.

I am a Pole and I am not against United Europe, but European Union as a political solution. I believe it is true that EU and the Lisboa threaty was forced for a reason we might not be aware of as yet. I wouldn't be even sure for such difference between EU elites' aim and the American ones'. I personally think we are all being misled by politicians that speak otherwise publicly than while in private meetings i.e. Bilderberg or Trilateral Commission. Therefore I discard this propaganda. Other smaller European powers working together would generate more wealth for them too, and the continent is working as one!! The EU, even now, is the biggist economy on Earth. I am a Pole and I am not against United Europe, but European Union as a political solution. I believe it is true that EU and the Lisboa threaty was forced for a reason we might not be aware of as yet. I wouldn't be even sure for such difference between EU elites' aim and the American ones'. If you look through history, if a geographical area adopts one currency it ultimatly becomes one nation. It did happen in the USA, China, Japan, Germany and Russia......Least I think Russia was one of them :). We touched on all this when I did History A level.

Other smaller European powers working together would generate more wealth for them too, and the continent is working as one!! The EU, even now, is the biggist economy on Earth. Dont get me wrong from where we stand now its hard to see just how itd work. But the Americans did it, the Chinese did it, and, on a smaller scale, Japan and Germany did it.

I would happily support a European superstate, not for the power it would give the continent but because it would give the people of Europe better, more prosperous, lives. I dont understand why Europe would then go and challenge the USA. The world would be a far more peacefull place if the two worked together, and I think they would as they would have little to gain standing against each other.
