I can tell you that this is a seriously tragic scene and a shitty attempt at humor, and you can read my opinion on it in my previous comment. This is a seriously cheesy scene. The reason you claim to like it is because you want identity. It's no secret, really old movies suck. It's nothing to hide. You can find identity without bullshitting. I love Metropolis, Frankenstien, Citizen Kane, The Wizard of Oz, etc, not because I’m some hipster who thinks the whole business world is against him, but because I really fucking like those movies. I like many old movies. But this is not "old". This is ancient, can barely be called a film. And I can tell by this trailer how the film is. That is what a trailer is for. And if THIS is the part that is supposed to attract viewers, this must surely be a crappy movie, and I think people pretend to enjoy watching this stupid man running around in all directions doing stupid things with his hand.

@MagnusRulerHardt I think Modern Times was made around 1936. Sure it's old, but not ancient. Also, I don't think this was actually the trailer that was used to promote the movie, the uploader just called it a trailer for some reason. Modern Times isn't a movie about a guy who waves his hands around, it's a social commentary on the 1930s. But why am I telling you this? You'll never watch it.
