Seriously, this is the least funny thing I've seen in my life. Maybe perhaps a 5 year old could be slightly amused. I assume most of you are grown ups.
I am sick of people who are deceived by the illusion that whatever is old is super good just because it's original. This is on the top 5 imdb comedies for fuck's sake. It sucks. We've moved on.
@MagnusRulerHardt if you dont like it, then why the fuck you watch the trailer? im sick of people only watching/listening modern things, i bet you listen to justin bieber and lady gaga too
I watched the fucking trailer to see if it was any fucking good, you complete retard. No, that's not how it works, ass clown. I just explained how it works. YOU are DECEIVED by a trend to think that modern things suck while old things rule, no matter what. Sure, you can mention 5 crappy movies that are also old, but truth is, they are no better or worse than this. Fucking retards... Stupid people having children...
@MagnusRulerHardt You watch the trailer and already pass judgement saying it sucks; I don't understand that - its not great because it's old, it because it was genius, funny, and ahead of its time. Maybe you should learn to just to try and appreciate more; atleast watch before judging
@MagnusRulerHardt Not if they actually know about who Hitler is and what he's done. However, you have not seen the movie Modern Times, so you cannot say Modern Times is a bad movie, you can only say that it *looks* like a bad movie from this scene, and therefore, you don't want to see it.
I can tell you that this is a seriously tragic scene and a shitty attempt at humor, and you can read my opinion on it in my previous comment. This is a seriously cheesy scene. The reason you claim to like it is because you want identity. It's no secret, really old movies suck. It's nothing to hide. You can find identity without bullshitting. I'd call this love for old crap a kind of hipster style, in a reversed way. "I won't fall for your new, coorporate conspiracy, *cry*"
@MagnusRulerHardt Please, stop being such an elitist. Why is it your problem that people like old movies? I love Metropolis, Frankenstien, Citizen Kane, The Wizard of Oz, etc, not because I’m some hipster who thinks the whole business world is against him, but because I really fucking like those movies. I think I'm allowed to have an opinion.
You're just being unreasonable, but whatever, you're missing out on some great films and I'm not.
I like many old movies. But this is not "old". This is ancient, can barely be called a film. And I can tell by this trailer how the film is. That is what a trailer is for. And if THIS is the part that is supposed to attract viewers, this must surely be a crappy movie, and I think people pretend to enjoy watching this stupid man running around in all directions doing stupid things with his hand.
@MagnusRulerHardt I think Modern Times was made around 1936. Sure it's old, but not ancient. Also, I don't think this was actually the trailer that was used to promote the movie, the uploader just called it a trailer for some reason. Modern Times isn't a movie about a guy who waves his hands around, it's a social commentary on the 1930s. But why am I telling you this? You'll never watch it.
@MagnusRulerHardt Can I tell you something? Enjoy your actual movies. Someday they're gonna be old (ancient if you will) and your grandsons will tell that you have no sense of humor.
Chaplin was a genius in his time, not only for the movie, even thought his performance, his physical power to send you a message without words. Chaplin was a visionary in his age, and this movie is a Social critic to the Big Depression; an advice, start reading my friend ///_^
Filme genial e sempre atual. Chaplin sempe cômico e comovente. Gênio. Mundo moderno, mundo complexo e fragmentado.
If someone finds this video stupid then why in the blue fuck are they commenting on it so much?

Yes, I can *ACTUALLY* tell by the trailer that it sucks. Unless this is footage from a TV WITHIN the movie, it sucks. Good day.
