I'm glad this is on YouTube because I was wanting to show a friend the clip. I remember watching this documentary for the first time and rewinding this scene probably 6 times. FYI he's not using a modulator. It's called the tweak scratch, turn the turntable off and slowly manipulate the non-spinning plate with your hand. MMM is a master of this technique. He's so good it sounds like he's using some additional equipment, oscillators, ring modulators, etc. but he's not. You have the equipment to do it, you just don't have the skills. Think you can? I agree with nininjak, bullshit, like to see you try, post a vid...
