I had a really hard time believing that jumprope was a useful training tool for fighting. Not that it's easy for smaller people, but if you're a heavyweight and you try this you'll realize pretty fast why it's effective. Jumping rope is just harder than it looks.

If you want to use techniques that 'work in a streetfight' I would suggest stuying a MA designed for self defence for a significant time (5-10 years).

@TheEdit5 I've been boxing and Kick Boxing for 14 yrs. Striking isnt a problem I spar pro boxers and pro kickboxers. I use to think bjj and wrestling didnt work untill I step in a ring with a pro mma fighter. I got taken down over and over again. boxing doesn't train you to defend takedowns. Once on the ground I had no Idea how to defend submissions. Ever since then I was convinced MMA techniques work and Boxing techniques are very limited. So go to a gym and find out urself.

If you do `ground work` in the streets you will properly get stomped on by another person.. And saying `we know the techniques on the street` is a retarded statement to make.. It doesn't matter what fighting style you have on the streets.. It depends on the fighter them self's, and the actually circumstances of the fight. No fighting style is better than another for outside.

@BoricuaAltaHueso787 UFC is a sport with very strict rules as is boxing. You say UFC started off in streetfights; well how do you thik boxing started. It too is an evolution from brawls and as certain techniques have become lost in boxing the same will happen with MMA till it is distilled further to a pure sport. Boxing is integral to MMA. If you want to use techniques that 'work in a streetfight' I would suggest stuying a MA designed for self defence for a significant time (5-10 years).

@TheEdit5 I've been boxing and Kick Boxing for 14 yrs. Striking isnt a problem I spar pro boxers and pro kickboxers. I use to think bjj and wrestling didnt work untill I step in a ring with a pro mma fighter. I got taken down over and over again. boxing doesn't train you to defend takedowns. Once on the ground I had no Idea how to defend submissions. Ever since then I was convinced MMA techniques work and Boxing techniques are very limited. So go to a gym and find out urself.

And ducking this fight for a long time with too many excuses and reason only leads to one thing right? He chooses who to fight, and goes for the weak, but would never fight someone who is a competition. I guess we won't know until they actually fight in the ring. I love boxing n I love mma both have there plus points but if u want to an all round fighter regardless of rules... I'd take an mma or krav magra class any day over boxing!
