a good version, but you do miss the brass/flute etc more than you'd think. look at any live clip tho, mr. goddard is totally committed to it, all the time
even more weird, i still know the words! result! hahaha
How beautiful is he! Honestly, imagine him and Marilyn Monroe having a child (ok, I'm really stretching the realm of possiblities, but they both have divine skin, bone structures, beautiful bodies, and charming personalities, charisma)..
I was so obsessed with Adam in 1981 and onwards, I thought he was the most perfect human being ever and I played his albums and singles constantly (the Adam Ant-written re-hashed punk era B-sides were all fabulous).
i hev this on dvd, i mixed it into a sort of 5.1 myself. sounds excellent, i also have live in japan which i have mixed myself too. he was awesome back in the days. wish he would go on tour. his new album is almost finished.
He opened the concert in Toronto - Feb 18 1993 - with this - with full horns. It was at Massey Hall - best sound i have ever heard. Sounded better than the album. Absolutely incredible. Still my fave all time concert.
I can't imagine how much work must have gone into approximating all of the complex vocal arrangements from the albums into ones that would have worked live. It must have been quite difficult. Truly inspiring to see the pure energy and work ethic he has.
I agree funny how the spirit travels.. maiden ,,,,then to where, keep following to the source, we are adults now who where really young listening then.. Who know ypur vessel may be next....the ant

Interesting. Guitar and Keyboard replaced the horns. Cool in it's own way.
It's just strange when you've been listening to the studio version so many years.

My feelings exactly!

It's unfortunate that horns weren't used like in the original...as this is one of his top 10 best songs!!!!

Not during the Revue... But during the FoF and Strip tour this song was played complete with horns, kicking off each concert.

Scorpios was the very first Ant song I heard performed live in 1983. It blew my head off. :-)

Yeah, that's what's missing too often from most music now.
This had great escapism to it. It's also what made Maiden great.(I like all kinds of music)

great to see these old vids bring back a lot of memories but it is missing the big brass section on this one.the track sounds empty without it.
