  • That pose where you bring your face down to your legs & feet, it is so hard will i ever reach that level =) ??

  • you are amaxing but this is death

  • I love this, Esther. Also at the end, you're sooo cute: "Click here to subscribe... right there...right there" (pointing to the Subscribe link, with a shining smile. Love it!). And I shared this on my FB page (Vivian Lujan is my FB name).

  • hi, Esther! : ) I was wondering do I have to warm up before, and stretch after doing this or is it not necessery?

  • Hi Esther!

I've got a basic question :) Do we have to warm up when we begin to do some yoga practice?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Sorry, I made the comment before watching the end of the video :)

  • Hi! I am just starting yoga with your videos :) How long do you suggest I should practice a part before passing to the next one? And after finishing these 5 parts for beginners, should I just go ahead and choose any video from your uploads, or do you have suggestions?

Thanks for preparing these videos, they are really helpful :)

  • Esther, I'm sorry to say this video is not working for me at all...part 2 is working fine, but part 1 just won't work. Can you please check the link or whatever? Thank you! It is one of my new year's resolutions to do a little yoga with you everyday...thank you for doing what you do so well and for sharing it with us all here.

  • @MsCoillte What link do you mean? Video seems to be working fine.

  • @yogatic Hi there, thanks for coming back. I think it must be something to do with Mac. I got the video working on the windows system last night, but tonight on the Mac it won't work. But the second video works fine...it's bizarre. But at least I can use it on the other computer, so it's fine. I did the first three videos last night and I felt much better afterwards...much more relaxed. Cheers ! MsC

  • @yogatic I dont have a problem with this video, I'm using Google Chrome Browser, the latest version.

  • thank YOU

  • Hi Esther, you're videos are great - thank you for uploading!

  • (((((((~♥~))))))))

  • I thought it looked fairly easy but I did find it challenging, especially controlling my breath while holding the positions! I feel my body a bit more relaxed... and I feel the need to sit up straight now!

  • I loved this video! It really helps! But I have a left wrist problem, it's weak, any suggestions of how to go about doing yoga while it gets strengthened?

  • Hi Esther,

This video is not working for me. The audio works, the visual is a still shot of you...

  • Next time I do this I'll have to find a way to keep the cats out of my way...I have shoulder problems also, any recommendations to help with that? Thank you

  • Good evening!

I'm brand new to this channel & to yoga...

I want to know how long should I be doing the Beginners videos before going onto something harder? Will it get to a point where it's very easy so then I move on to harder videos?

    Thank you! :)

  • @28FreshStart Yes, you will get to a point that your body will be comfortable with the moves. Than its a good time to add part 2 etc

  • I really enjoy this.. I am a complete beginner... and I really love this channel :)

  • Yes! I have found the perfect yoga teacher (besides Barbara Benagh) to fully teach me step by step at a slower pace. I have bought 2 yoga dvds for beginners whereas I find the teachers are going way to fast hence being a beginner. Thank you so much! I subscribed. <3

  • I stopped searching for yoga videos once I saw one of yours! I'm hooked now thank you so much for the hard work and inspiration you make starting yoga an easy and welcoming process. I look forward to continuing practice with your videos! :)

  • wish I could bend that way lol

  • Thank you so much for this. I love that I found this. :) I have high anxiety problems and Yoga is something that I would absolutely love to get into.

  • On the standing forward bend, my lower legs and my feet fall asleep and get all tingly. Is there anything I can do to prevent this?

  • @AirDogStar try bending your knees somewhat.. till the legs are more open,

  • thank you so much for doing this series! So helpful! Great job!

  • very professional!

  • Lovely. Short sessions like this really make it impossible to push aside yoga for another day, since there is no excuse to not get down on the mat for ten minutes to do a simple, beginner's session. Thank you, for helping me to keep my yoga practise going. :)

  • @figaroblack thank you for the tip I will try that.

  • Hi, i relax quite a lot watching your videos, one of thiese days i will begint to make the exercises you do at home :P

  • Hi Esther, I've been following your videos ever since I started yoga a couple of months ago. They're very easy to follow especially for beginners like me. Is it alright to mix and match the poses in your videos? Like when doing the sun salutation sometimes after downward dog insert the exercises for arms before going through the rest of the sun salutation. Is that alright?

  • @BellaTwix10 As long as it feels good its fine :-) Glad you enjoy it!

  • Esther, love this video, wondering if you might share your thoughts on complimentary and counter poses. What is the difference and when to use them? Thank you for sharing.

  • @jlooks1 Complimentary poses are poses that support the working of each other. Counter poses are to help keep the body in balance, one backbend can work complimentary (help facilitate) to another backbend. However after a few back bends you need to counter stretch your body to stay happy (for example with a forward bend or twist) . Hope this clarifies it..

  • hi Esther, I have trouble with my feet sliding when I do like the warrior poses, I was wondering if it was just me, or if I should get a different type mat. All of the mats in the stores seem to be made out of the same stuff. I didn't have so much of a problem when I first got the mat.

  • @jasmineolea Good mats can be expensive. I use a manduka mat myself. Definitely doesn't slip.. Some of the cheaper ones wear quicker and than become very slippery..

  • @yogatic thank you

  • @jasmineolea

I have a manduka eco mat (rubber) that can sometimes become like that too. When it does, I just hose it down with some lukewarm water and scrub it down with the soft side of a cleaning sponge. Once it has dried properly, it becomes wonderfully sticky again for a while. So, that's something to try.

  • Thank you!!

  • yay! i've been hoping for something like this :) i like the sequence types of videos too :)

  • I was waiting for this! heh yay

  • Thank you so much you make it so easy to understand what to do im going to try this every morning now xxxxx

  • I appreciate your videos so very much!

  • thank you for this video

  • I'll be using this as my morning sequence from now on, work is hard on me! You're quite an amazing lady. Thank you for everything.

  • hi ester,

i dont ever understand what you mean by pulling the knee caps. Does that mean i have to tighten my leg muscles?

  • @cactusl3gs Yeah.. sort of in the beginning it can feel that way. Forget about the knee caps and literally pull the muscles of your thighs up with your hands when you are standing straight. You have to create those muscles in the beginning to be able to do that. Keep at it, and than suddenly your body understands..

  • @cactusl3gs

Do you have a treshold somewhere in your home? Try balancing on it, standing straight with your legs, and you will find your knee caps move upwards a bit, to stabilise your legs so you can keep your balance. That is the feeling you want when drawing uo your knee caps. Just with the centre of your balance in the middle of your feet.

  • Thank you Esther, As usual, you make everything so clear making it very easy for beginners.

  • Thank you for this beginners series, I look forward to using them! Thank you!

  • Thank you Esther.
