Ok, so, I love Rob as much as the next person, and I love his music for the most part as well. This song is horrible. Im not here hating on Rob either. Never think, Let me sign, I was broken... those are really great songs - even when he gets a little off key. Its cute. But this song is a wreck. It sounds like the Doyle Hargraves Band from the movie Sling Blade.

Please, all of you are saying "he has such a great voice' cuz you think he's hot. He's a good looking man, of course, but unless he can bring power to his vocals and make them rise above the guitar strumming so you can hear him clearly i want no part of his singing career. Go ahead and thumbs down me, but he needs to learn to control his vocals, And really? Comparing him to kings of Leon? nu uh, That won't fly with me, he sounds nothing like kings of Leon. His best point was at 0:46 it was clear

@JudeHarrison0289 Of course, this isn't his best song, but listen to "Let mi sign" or "Never Think"! Those are really good songs. He DOES have a great voice, he just needs to gain more experience.

@MixailMisho, ur right in that respect. he needs more experiance, he has great potential but needs to nourish his voice. In order to do that if he is serious about this singing, he needs to get vocal lessons. It'll smooth him out and help him sing from the diaphragm and give him more power to belt out those lyrics.

For the Movie he was playing a character who wasn't very good at singing or guitar but was trying to make it big, his vocal performance was also acted, it wasn't intended that he brang any power to his vocals. He might not be that type of singer and it may be true, yet it shouldn't be reflected by this performance how well he can sing.

but also, when it's on the soundtrack why is it exactly as poor a perormance as it was in the movie? shouldn't it be better so listeners can enjoy the song in full power? that's like buying a stereo that only has one speaker and has low volume. You can't fully enjoy the song if you can't hear it or not at it's best.

@JudeHarrison0289 I think you need to go find some of HIS actual songs rather than basing him on his character in this film, Art. He is acting....including his singing. You can judge him based on his real songs, but I don't think it's fair to judge him on this. lol. He's actually quite a powerful and emotional singer. I adore his voice, in fact it is what made me truly a fan of Robert.

@JudeHarrison0289 Listen to "I Was Broken". It is nothing but power, raw power and emotion with a pure, bel canto 'cry' in his upper register that guts me. He could have stopped accompanying himself at all on that song and no one would have noticed. He does need to learn a bit more control, but power and talent he has got in spades. "Stray Dog", the song he wrote, it probably his most polished, well-rounded performance, but to really hear his potential it's "I Was Broken".
