  • Vintage Harry...long before "Nilsson Schmilsson","The Point" & "Without You" (made famous by Badfinger, of course)...and LONG before his legendary collaboration w/ John Lennon (all four Beatles called him their favorite American singer/songwriter)

Harry died way too young:( He had one of the most perfect voices in all pop/rock (listen to his albums and you'll know that) Born NYC June 15, 1941 ..died of a heart attack on January 15, 1994.

  • Ziveli Rodni i Del boy!

  • I was only 5 when this song came out. But it still brings back so many memories of growing up in Boston because this song was probably played into the 70's. I used to listen to this music on the teenagers' transistor radios in my neighborhood. This song also makes me think of Derek Sanderson who used to played Center for the Boston Bruins in the early 1970's. Somehow this song was affiliated with him. Anyone know why? Thanks! This song definitely creates a feeling, doesn't it?

  • Creo que es la canción de mi vida

  • 2 minutes and 39 seconds of pleasure and peace...

  • This is mine and my mother's song. She used to play it for us when we were little when my dad went fishing. We'd dance around the living room laughing and singing. I have passed the love of music to my son as well. I exposed him to all kinds just like my mother did. He is now a musician but doesn't want to persue it as a career because he believes the industry will ruin it for him. He writes his own stuff and journals it as a hobby. Its incredible what that young man can put down on paper.

  • @axf48529 Inspiring comment, thanks. You just made my day a little bit more bearable.

  • Listening to Harry is like putting on an old pair of slippers. Proper

  • @chrishirschfeld let me guess, it never got out of your mind..

  • Awesome song, dude.

  • Such an incredible talent. Nobody out there these days can come close

  • I want this song to be played at my funeral.

  • im in high school right now, and im glad to say i prefer music from this era than today's shit.

  • @heyyitsjonah Hey kid, I appreciate that. A lot of of younger people are now getting into real music instead of the crap that passes for music.Sure everyone has a right to make music the way they want, but good quality music uses all the elements - not just rhythm and a string of words with a short chorus sung by some drugged out chick. Music needs melody, harmony, rhythm, good tone (timbre) like the choice of instruments and good arrangements. Lyrics need to be clear and meaningful.

  • I hate that "ooooooooooooo"

  • I was so excited when I heard this on American Dad that I had to listen to the whole song.

  • . . . and if you're not man enough to do it yourself, I'd be happy to oblige. . .

  • buenisimaaaaaaa!

  • I had bits of this song in my head today, probably from watching Forrest Gump, hopefully hearing the whole thing will get it outta my head.

  • forest gump

  • I remeber this song...I was accross the pond in far off Vietnam..can't erase those memories..the only thing I know is that to win a war there can no MORALITY...This song is one that has meaning to me...

  • I was a senior in HS when Midnight Cowboy came out. My parents wouldn't let me see it. It was only a few months until I was 18 and I went. Boy were they mad. I guess they didn't think I knew about sex, and they were right. What an education it was for me. In fact now kids in 5th grade know more than I did as a senior.
