  • man, i'm laughing as crazy....combined with Guru's Lost Souls...can't describe my feelings, something like mellow smooth shit badass smile, almost tears. this is the kind of music that makes one happy, passionate, sensitive...all that kinda stuff, simply love this

  • This my song!

  • can someone please upload " in wonder" its off the same cd..thanx

  • well a newcomer but this music touches my inner parts.....love it!!!!!

  • From the very 1st time way back, when I heard D'Nea Davenport's vocals & mucial talent...I was hooked! When the UK's 'Brand New Heavies' joined their musical talents with D'Nea.....pure funky, R&B, soul, acid jazz delived in my delight!

Love this groove....And the "Brand New Heavies'!

  • Love it very soulful :)

  • she sing so good!! great song!

  • I love her.I love her.I love her.

  • I don't think the Brand New Heavies had 1 bad lead songstress, I love her eye peircing, nice.....

  • This girl is the real deal! She has the more restrained old school thing as opposed to the modern style of everything-and-the-kitchen-sink style of over singing. And yet she has three times the voice of say Rhianna or Bionce', etc......

  • @soupedguit369 - Yes indeed!!

  • I love this girl. She's got one of the clearest, sweetest voices I've ever heard. She's just a good singer and doesn't need to try too hard. Very understated.

  • beeeeutiful

  • i feel sorry for the one person who "disliked" this song, MAN they're missin out :)

  • N'Dea is great! I love her version of "Old man"...can't find it anywhere! (I only have it on an old cassette tape....really like to get it on my I-pod....Who can help?

  • j dilla

  • this is soulll music baby...

  • Whatever you want, I know I'll make you happy.....N'dea you have what music is missing.....CLASS,SOUL,AND TRUTH....you have what we've been missing in music....real talk~ India Arie and you should collaborate.....two beautiful women who knows music~~

  • Sheer brilliance... this song never gets old!

  • J Dilla makes nothing but masterpieces when it comes down to music

but there really is something about a women's voice singing over a Jay Dee production

  • @666KoS word

  • Jay Dee/J Dilla produced this beat.. Thats why the track is so good!

    Gotta give him mad props..

  • @1stSRB dilla only made the remix not the original

  • WOOOOW

  • Thanks for this posting!! I connected to it via the brand new heavies...NDEA is the bomb!! she is on my list of top female vocalist for life!! For those of you who dont know...chk out Maysa...lead vocalist from "Incognito"

  • N'dea is the bomb..her flow so smooth and divine am lovin this song

  • I Enjoy hearing her sing! Great voice! Thank you for sharing it! Candy

  • love this jam............the i foud out dilla worked on it for delicious vinyl...........and i loved it more!

  • This entire album is the BEST!

  • I LOVE SOUL MUSIC!!!!!!!! nice song!!

  • There's a bit of incognito's taste i this arranement...great song

  • its dilla!

  • I am in love with N'Dea Davenport. She is so beautiful and talented. She is SO underrated as a vocalist. It is so hard living in Georgia to find her and the BNH music anywhere, Thank God for the Internet

  • BEAUTIFUL SONG!

  • The US is behind now when it comes to Acid Jazz, hence the forgotten; Incognito, Amel Larrieux, too name a few.

  • i dont know why people call it acid jazz, its funk/soul , for goodness sakes lol , get it right

  • Thank you mister god for your opinion. That's an stupid reflexion. Who matters, acid jazz, soul, funk????

  • funk

  • Yet another talented singer/performer that the industry overlooks...Wished that everyone would stop buying all the garbage that they are playing on the radio now and get back into buying soulful artist with talent such as this Lady. This entire album is so good.

  • NICE!!!

BNH in the house. Acid Jazz in the house.

  • This is my all-time favorite album of a soul artist. Amos 3:3..Can two walk together unless they agree. I've been in an agreement with N'Dea and this embodient of sheer brilliants. Strong vocals, clear visual of a transparent soul makes this the most underrated in all of music..N'Dea..you'll always be numero uno in my book. Believe that!

  • N'Dea you have an been an absolute inspiration. Respects from Athens, Greece

John Papamichail, producer, songwriter, "Keys" man. 4 FUTURISTIC band.

  • it's such a shame that this didn't get the treatment it should have: if ever something deserved to be called a sleeper, it's this album -- ever since i heard her the first time with the brand new heavies, i knew she'd remain in my top ten of female vocalists. i got this release on vinyl, haha ... that'll be worth quite something once people realize how dope it is!

  • I couldnt agree with you more. When My friend first introduced me to the BNH back in 1992,I never heard of them and being in a funk/R&B/Jazz band myself, I was blown away. As for N'Dea, So awesome, her voice is so crystal clear, powerful. innocent but sexy, and soulful. When she left BNH to do a solo CD,I was sad but I knew she would do well because of all these things, I got her CD much later(2005)but I heard most of them when It was released. This is definitely an*underrated CD So very Talented.

  • @mardenhill - The good stuff never gets the promo it deserves...

  • I bought this album not even hearing a cut..I just knew it was gonna be quality..WHAT A FIND. Got it back in 98 and its a GREEEEAAT cd..must have...wonderful artist along with great arrangements and instrumentation..I want more N'Dea...So talented..

  • Thanks for sharing that ;-) I may need to get N'Dea's album, now. I am a HUGE fan of Brand New Heavies first and foremost.

  • What a beautiful voice!!

  • When I first heard this album, i knew I had to have more of her stuff. She is number #1.
