@diamondlane100 just cause the elephant looks looks fine doesn't mean it's ALL fine. it might have mental disorders because of the lack of space in its enclosure and the fact that these people are just staring at it with their beady eyes. don't judge a book by its cover.
i heard in the recent news that he is in severe depression he really missed his family...im praying that he should sending back in Sri Lanka...where lots of elephants are there

To chessbuff: It may be better, but where to put the animals? If the animals in this zoo are released in the wild, they will not survive because they are used to handfeeding.
zoo keepers dont handfeed (because that would be really dangerous). and we understand that releasing them to the wild is wrong but we should tell mayor whats his name to stop importing new animals to the zoo.

elephant looks chubby and healthy to me.. they feed them sugar canes.. and coconuts.. da elephant is fine.

Elephant name was Mali
he was born in Sri Lanka on 1974
he is the only elephant there in manila zoo...
