The step between the "telnet" to [HOLDING] Home+Power button was extremely tricky. But it works.

@jbindri I say it was extremely tricky because anyone who does this will get a triangle image at bootup. what the video didn't tell you is that pressing Alt-L shows you a list of options from that bootup. I'm guessing you were stuck at 5:00, and cannot flash the cyanogen image with the list of options like so.

Seems a lot of work to do I only wanted a Froyo update not a Cyanogen mod I only wanted to upgrade from 1.6 Doughnut to 2.1 Eclair or 2.2 Froyo if possible I think Eclair is best suitted for G1

all i can say to all of you just dont give up use ur resources im 19 years old and i figured this out on my own it took me 2 days to do and 1 big headache but once i got the android 2.2 it was all worth it...goodluck people i know u can do it...

Ok i did everything up2 spl.. After I wiped it and rebooted it, Its gets stuck at Tmobile G1 screen!! What do I do to move one??

Issue resolved....I started the process from scratch & everyhitng worked fine.... I think the issue was that I had the phone sdcard mounted on my pc.

Your video made it extremly easy. Can you add the list off files to put on the sdcard & the download links, that will be really helpful for other ppl trying the mod.

One more issue I am having is that I dont get the market with the gapps ...& if I use the gapps-tiny ver I dont get Maps which is not even downloadable from the market.
