  • @USMCdrummer06 The central meaning is God's command of "Let there be light" that brought light into the universe and really began reality as we know it. But more deeply, there is the allusion to 2 Corinthians 4:6 that says "God who said 'Let light shine out of darkness' shone into our hearts the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ". So - the light that filled the universe is parallel to the light that fills our soul when we see and trust in Christ.
