  • @AndrewsNeuron -- or maybe a helicopter ?

  • I've been living here for about 6 years.. i still am not used to the rain lol.

  • @Havingagoodtim3 -- you know, we've had a couple of pretty tough years with La Nina winters, but maybe this winter will be better ?

  • @Havingagoodtim3 I hope so!! But they're already saying that this winter is not gonna be a nice one.

  • HELLO SEATTLE

  • @LBVification -- Thanks so much -- check out the other videos in my channel for some alternative views at different times of day

  • Did you have a panning head, or was that post-processing effects?

  • @3ricj -- that pan is in post - I do all pan/zoom/pull-outs by moving the video frames around in the larger frame of the stills.

  • @3ricj -- I just got a panning head, but the clips here were done in post... -- you can get very smooth pans that way

  • @AndrewsNeuron -- It is sure moving in a strange way --

  • Seattle has the most beautiful skyline in the world.

  • @goldAUsilverAG - It has a great setting, with the mountains on both sides, and the Puget Sound right below it. But NY, SF, Singapore, Hong Kong are pretty spectacular too!

  • @88edwardo Oh, I am sure. I would love to visit at least one of those cities in the near future. Maybe NY after the Freedom Tower is completed. That would be a site to see.

  • i am a 12 year old kid from finland and my dream is some day to get in to seattle. Seattle looks so nice it feels like its missing part of my heart and really nice vid too

  • @nbafan347 -- Thanks so much -- I hope you'll have a chance to travel to Seattle -- who knows, maybe sooner than you think... Also, I'm impressed with your English language skills

  • My Home. :] Cant wait to move back there!

  • @olive166 - I think if I moved away that would be on my mind too...

  • Seattle be showin its beauty!! SON! great video

  • I live in manchester and on clear nights i love goin down to the dock with binaculars and just watch the beatiful city

  • @XxmonstahobgobxX -- Maybe you should try shooting a time lapse sequence!

  • @88edwardo I can try its been bad weather here though

  • Awesome work, bro!

  • Great again! I The moonrise at 2:19 - fantastic!

  • Hey Edwardo, I was wondering how expensive and difficult is it to do this "Time Lapsing" thing? I don't really have computer skills, but I really would like to do this sort of thing. Can't stop watching time lapsing videos, very simple yet intriguing.

Yeah, just want an estimate on pricing of a camera that can take photos every second or whatever. And a simple program that I could figure out.. Also, I have a mac. Good, bad for programs?

  • Beautiful job. I used to live in the Seattle area, and I left a piece of me behind there. It's such a beautiful area, the whole sound into the olympic peninsula.

  • Very impressive! Would you mind tell me that how many pictures do you take in 5 minute for making a time lapse? I want to make a time lapse of sunset from my window. What should i set my camera for that? Thank you very much!

  • Sweet. I hope I can get this good. I am a just starting to learn this. Thanks for the inspiration!

  • Nice - good work

  • Very nice, such a good collection of views from the city.

I never have time to do such large projects as this, so it's very inspiring to see other people doing stuff like this.

  • wow i love the skys! beautiful city ! impressive work!

  • @AblloA -- Thanks, I'm lucky to live here and to have built up knowledge of where a lot of very good photo viewpoints are over the years.

  • @88edwardo hey man, I am a musician and i would like to use your video to pair with one of my songs. can u send me the video? Thanx.

  • Very Nice, really like the sideways motion at the start, appears to not be a pan, this this by cropping the frames incrementally sideways?

  • @cpjfox - This is a pan in post-production, which can be done by moving the crop frame inside the much larger original resolution boundary. I always shoot at much higher than HD res so that it leaves me room to apply this kind of motion in post.

  • @88edwardo Ah I see that makes sense, mine are shot at 2304 x 1536 so I might have to try it, probably much cheaper than buying a dolly/crane system ;o) Thanks for the info.

  • Hey edwardo, I was just wondering if you used a time lapse setting on your camera, then stitched them together into a movie, or rather just took a high quality movie and sped it up? Thanks, and a great video

  • @TheyShoutOutHempy - I use something called an "intervalometer" that basically is like a smart cable release - it takes a picture every, like, 4 seconds or whatever. They are all single still shots (thousands of them) and then assembled together using a video editing program --

  • Wow.. I love my city so much and it's really awesome seeing it like this. Well done sir and thank you. If you don't mind me asking were did you get locations for some of those amazing shots?

  • @Ninjatek - Thanks --

I've scouted out a bunch of likely locations over the past 2 years - West Seattle, Beacon Hill, Queen Anne Hill, Shilshole Marina, Magnolia Bridge, Gasworks Park, Pier 57 downtown, 12th St. Bridge near Amazon, etc. One of these days maybe I'll post a Google Earth or Google Maps collection of photo points --
