  • This game used too freak me out when i was a kid idk why but still does o_o

  • It does not break when you get to the top of the elevator. I have got to the top many times without mine breaking at all.

  • In reference about playing video games in school. I believe that childfren should play such games as this - and also games like 'Empire Earth' which is also another fantastic piece of work. Such games, I believe, are educational in that they can enable children to use common sense when working such puzzles out - in reference to 'Myst III'. As to 'Empire Earth', children would gain a sense of how civilizations grew, and what it took to expand those civilizations.

  • The puzzles are very very very HARD on this. I have the 'Collectors Edition of Myst III - which I bought back in 1993. It is still in its original box, and is basically brand new. The 'Collectors Edition' includes the full game, a full soundtrack disc - which is seperate from the game - a disc on the 'Making of Myst', and a very thick book of the Strategy Guide of Myst III, Exile'. Watching these clips makes me want to play it again. A wonderful game which needs patience and a lot of time.

  • the graphics are amazzzing...... they for some strange reason remind me of some of the graphics in the nancy drew pc games, like in danger on deception island, or whenever shes underground in a secret passage way....

  • I love this game^^

  • I can't find part 1 either, but the link doesn't work for me because I'm on an iPod. Can you tell me if there are any related videos that lead to part 1?

  • @xDFancyPantsxD Yes : Myst III : Exile walkthrough (Part 1). It's the 12th related video

  • I rented this on the ps2 and finished it in 3 days. It was a lot easier then the first myst I think. And way more fun then Uru.

  • this game freaks me out!

  • we play this at school but my teacher will only let us to the colourful glass house so i am cheating

  • I remember playing this game over 7years ago... lol... this video is as far as I got back then lol.

I think I might play it again sometime

  • we study myst exile III in my school its a lesson

  • I can't find part 1!

  • @VanillaLimeCoke Here it is : watch?v=zD1WGvOzoe0

  • @Pieuw

    Thanks.

  • Is this for PC? I have it for PS2 and the graphics are exactly the same!

  • 3 people needs to be 30 in K'veer

  • 3 people keep getting hammered by Saavedro. This game is EPIC WIN, now that I'm watching it again.

  • I hate that picture on the wall. The eyes stare into your soul, except for the fact that it doesn't have any.

  • With todays technology why come dont they make it real time

  • fixing problems with the mouse with Alt Tab: /watch?v=37iSsHJLLoM

  • It seem (at least in my opinion) that each myst game has a different feel to them. Which isn't to say they aren't incredibly awesome. :)

  • this game is HARD-CORE on the puzzle dificulty

  • Myst IV is harder :D

  • @FCKundo

Lol ever played Myst and Riven? Without walkthroughs? and Completed them?

Exile is nothing compared to the puzzles in Riven or Myst

  • This...game...pwns.

  • whats with that heartbeat sound?...

  • @mangobat827 wow I never noticed that before....creepy O_o

  • I know I checked with my chest to make sure that wasn't me for some reason....

  • They should remake this game for the Wii, PS3 and 360 I'd love to see it on those systems.

  • i played the game when it came out, but its great to see it again :D

  • We're playing this game in school and we are at the bit with the elevator I want to be the one that knows what to do >:)

Thanks this really helped a LOT

  • You're welcome, and very lucky to play this fantastic game at school :p

  • @ToontownMad2605 i got stuck on the elevator and now the game is lost

  • "bzzzZZZZZZ...... zzzZZZZZZZZZz..... zzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzz.... "

this fly used to drive me crazy !!

  • these games are so realistic

  • Dans mon siuvenir il y avait moins de chose... Je l'ai fait en PS2 en 2004 je crois... J'ai maintenant le CD pour PC... A refaire !

  • Aahh I love this game! I never finished it because I got stuck. I think watching this is even better than playing it because I dont have to figure it out myself lol. Plus I dont have the game anymore :'(

  • You know, seeing this makes my jaw drop.

I am a 3d visualiser and with a good amount of time i can makethese renders. but I cannot program so it's useless: (

  • 100 out of 5 * excilent work

  • Lolz, thanks :-)

  • who's the woman on the wall? it's a bit scary when i first saw it

  • Saavedro's wife, I guess ?

  • no its the mona lisa! duh?!

    jk lol

  • It's Saavedro's wife, but he can't remember what her face looks like.

  • Heh, You must admit, I got like: "Hmm... if you see 8 metres below, then wouldn't it be enough with a pair of feet?" Hahah xD

  • lol this game rules me and my dad are always trying to find out wat we gota do but i hav to admit its reealy hard!

  • This is where my disc 2 broke D:

It breaks when you get to the top of the elevator...

(It's good that I've played this before, I'm watching because I was craving the puzzling madness again =D *And this time without walkthroughs.... oops ;P*.

  • Mine doesn't break when I do it. I have a working version :D.

  • Good for you :D But hey, don't taunt him/her :P

  • Slight consistency fail when you can't see your own feet in the elevator.

  • It's a good thing imo. :P

  • Yeah, but it pissed me off the first time I played it :P

"What the fuck kind of logic is that? Sigh, whatever, just go with it..."

    It's still a brilliant game.

  • Well they sort of did that on purpose. You're never supposed to see "The Stranger" (yourself) so you can just be you, rather than having an arbitrary avatar. It's kind of cool, really.

  • Yeah. Makes sense. It just looks a bit odd when you see it the first time.

  • I personally think there should be feet. Otherwise it looks like you're levitating, which would be awesome by the way ;-D

  • ya, me and my brother were playing it and in the part with the elevator, my brother looks at me and goes, "Aren't there supposed to be a pair of feet?"

  • What is it about myst and elevators? =)

I've played myst 1, 3 and 5, and everyone of them had an elevator which you must send up and walk below...

    Well, it's a cool idea!

  • There are elevators in Riven and Myst 4 too :P

  • Atlantis 1-2-3, L'Amerzone, maybe Syberia 1&2... These are my fav adventure/puzzle games with the Myst series. ^^

  • May you call it luck or not - but I was forced to have the somewhat high end systems at home to be able to work. If not, I would have been sticking to DOS until... well... let's say... last year? ;-)

  • Always welcome. I am lucky to be old enough owning the original CDs ;-)

  • I guess you can still find them around amazon or ebay. Good luck. They are all great!

  • Hehe yes but even if they don't like this kind of game, they CAN'T say the game is stupid :P

If you like Myst III, you'll like the other games except (maybe) Myst V. This one is really different :-/

  • Unfortunately I was never able to play Myst V - it crashed out on me right after landing on the first island - whatever this was. And I never found out why. But certanly I'll give it another try - some day.

  • I love the Myst series. Anybody who claims that this game is stupid has probably played too many shooters.

  • I couldn't agree more ^^

  • ;-)

  • lol, i played DooM, Quake, Serious Sam etc, all the craziest "linear" Shooters and even develope my own one sort of, but nonetheless i return to any Myst title again and again every 1-2 Year. You can combine all these things very well. That what makes each other game more exciting ;)

  • Heh Duke Nukem ? :D

  • i have this game but im not going to install it mainly becase... do you do aything at all? just walk aorund have people talk to you about nonsence and click on random books and junk that does nothing?

  • =/

    ... and solve puzzles.

  • gawd... ppl pay for this? i dont even know how i have it its just in a pile of cd cases i have... i guess i can beat it for a false sence of accomplishment but...

  • Heh, it takes grey matter ;)

  • whats grey matter?.... and its on 4 cd's 4 cds jesus what is it like 200 hours of this nonsence? people beat the first disc without commiting suicide?

  • Oh, it's about 200hours/CD but no one managed to finish this game. It's so huge and boring. All the players dissapeared in mysterious circonstances.

    May god help us.

  • Don't like it, don't watch it.

The fact that you do not know what grey matter is, proves the fact that you lack the intelligence to play these kinds of games.

  • Says the man who can't even spell "you're".

    Good job, jackass.

  • Pretty funny how you call people names when you have jack shit on your own channel, just some videos of stupid free games.

  • *nonsense

I'd rather play good point'n'click adventure games that require using your brains, like Myst, over those games. But that's just me.

Don't like it? Don't watch/comment it. Simple as that. You don't see me commenting on videos of games I dislike.

And don't call yourself smart when you can't even distinguish "your" from "you're" nor spell "nonsense".

  • I do quite have a life, I do more than just playing videogames.

    *Looks at your channel* *coughs*

To each his own. Why do you keep commenting if you don't like Myst? Without Myst, the games you play nowadays wouldn't even exist, and CD/DVD-based games wouldn't either.

  • Oh please !

You don't like the game I think we got it. Now stop, it's just pointless. No one cares about your tastes. You play the games you like, and we play the games we like. End of the discussion.

  • "Upon release, Myst was a surprise hit, with critics lauding the ability of the game to immerse players in the fictional world. The game was the best-selling PC game of all time, until The Sims exceeded its sales in 2002.[5] Myst helped drive adoption of the then-nascent CD-ROM format. Myst's success spawned four direct video game sequels as well as several spin-off games and novels."

I suggest you read up on history, pal.

My e-mail client checks every minute, so

  • They are pre-rendered backgrounds. It's not running in a real-time game engine. They also used real actors instead of models in a game engine.

Explore the island! You'll uncover loads of puzzles that eventually lead you to go further.

  • It's not a stupid idea, it's called using your own imagination.

In Myst, you don't expect doors to open.

If you really can't go further, try to follow this video or something.

  • nah cus the people dont react well with the scenery and it says this video is no longer availbale and its been black for the past liek 30 comments

  • The video IS available.

  • why? i was gonna actually sue it...wait....now its playimg WTF is wrong wth yuotube

  • 5 stars

  • Heh, thanks :)

  • I have so many great memories of this game^^ I love and the myst-universe is one my main sources for inspiration.

  • totally!
