Scientists have released an article stating that they were able to track down the cause of a 4.0 earthquake that shook the Youngstown, Ohio, region on New Years Eve and it has to do with "fracking."
Here is something else to look in to, pumping waste chemicals into the ground.
Nine earthquakes within an eight-kilometer radius of a waste chemical injection well
The well in question is one where the waste chemicals used in the process are deposited once they have been used. Scientists and environmental experts are theorizing that pumping the waste chemicals into the ground are destabilizing the ground.
the way to get conclusive evidence between frakking as a source of chemicals found in ground water is to use radio-isotopes or other isotopically labelled frakking chemicals.
that this has not been done is very conspicuous in that it is easy to do and would be absolutely definitive because you csn compare a site before and after introduction of the labelled species which is present. this method would be so effective time constant studies could be done to determine diffusion rates.
ALSO, frac wells work fine with sonic frac techniques but the chain of money coming from disposing of these toxic chemicals is too alluring for gas companies. the world plans on america NOT being here another 25 yrs - thats why they do not care about our health, our land, our water, our rights or our needs. the sooner ppl add some shit up and come to a bigger conclusion, the sooner they'll see we've been sold. check out my uploads, favs and playlists for more information on your future.
ok, since nobody seems to know - the frac fluid is industrial waste thats being placed underground in replacement of the gas thats being pulled up. without the pressure of something there, major damage can be caused to earth stability. since they need to fill the area with a substance thicker than the gas since the rock is crushed...they use chemicals that have expensive disposal costs without the frac industry. its waste. and its pressurized so it will always rise to the surface with time.
no water= no life. These fossil industries are literally KILLING everything around them. They go to places (in our country and other countries) where the people have less money and literally rape their land, kick out the state official who have obviously been bought-or better yet- let the companies and state officials who are FOR ruining people's land have a cup of that toxic water, let THEIR children drink it and we'll see their feathers all ruffled up... WAKE UP PEOPLE. This land is our land!
The price of gas is the same now as it was in the '30's. We are seeing prices increase for EVERYTHING to the decrease in the value of the dollar. This happens when the FED prints money. Look at how many Federal Reserve Notes (US dollars) it takes to purchase gold. As the value of the dollar drops, the price of goods rises. Stop putting the blame on businesses and realize the real problem.
I saw this when the show aired last Friday. Excellent segment! So informative what big corporations get away with in this miserable, rotten, corrupt country. Thank you "Need To Know" and PBS.
