OTEP is different, its the Otep Shamaya Show (ft. the Metal Mannequins) their job is to blend in, or else Otep will replace them (she already has)

Power Symphony, Hanzel und Gretyl, Hellion, White Skull, Holy Moses, Girlschool, Bitch, er..L7, kinda... hell, I think Gwar had a female vocalist a few times. Probably a lot more that I never heard of. The thing is, they never got any recognition. But they did exist, it's not fair to assume they didn't :P

Of those Hanzel and Gretyl was the best example. I struggle to call L7 metal (it's more punk/alternative). All of them had cult followings but of those, Lita Ford was the only mainstream artist. Slymenstra Hymen (of GWAR) was not really a vocalist, though she did do a couple songs. She was their fire dancer. My point was that now it's ok to be a chick metal singer (probably because of Evanescence) and that it's cool. The Agonist, Otep, Arch Enemy, Walls of Jericho, Draconian, etc...
