I fully agree with blockbinder's comments that if she is made to state incorrect facts, then it would make her appear to be liar, and that is what her fans worldwide would not want. Simply put, it is debatable who first discovered her. If you want to be technical, then it would be falsevoice, who posted her videos on youtube. For her fans, it is more important she is allowed to answer truthfully to any interview question so that she will not be accused of being a liar.

If there is a clear cut question as to when is the first time she performed in USA , she should say it is the Ellen DeGeneres show and not for whatever unknown reason, made to say that it was on Oprah's show. Why doesn't anyone really say who discovered her ... Ellen. She first showed her youtube video and then was the first to bring her to the US. I know Oprah has done amazing things for Charice's career and should get FULL credit for that but it just seems wrong to leave the actual person who discovered her out of the picture, JMO.
