My brother is currently in BUD/S and my other brother recently graduated Marine OCS, and will be heading off to flight school shortly. people dont give the navy enough credit...they fail to notice the stress we go through being on a frigate(my ship) for months on end....seein nothing but water for weeks at a time. waiting weeks for a letter from our wives just to find out they want a divorce...missing our first childs birth...things like this. show some love people our sailors sacrifice quite a bit to keep our borders safe

@keller747 So True!! I just retired in 2008 after 20 years in the Seabees. So many humanitarian missions all over the world. I truely miss it. I was in Africa for almost 7 months on my last deployment and took over 3000 photos! Digital cameras made it possible.

I joined the Navy at 17 in 1956 and will never be sorry I did. Sailed the pacific on the USS Yorktown cvs 10. Enjoyed every min.
