...knocking on a closest door at 5am or so on a Sunday morning, a very pretty woman and her children with her answering the door looking so very much like a relative to John Denver but that buck had been struck by a car and it was "please could you call the police for me there's a deer over there trying to get up and it's legs are broken"...en I'm walking back home late gonna make it to my brother's wedding that day!...(with a few rednecks circling in their pickup truck yeah)

Esta música me faz relembrar ótimos momentos da minha vida, eu tinha na época 14 anos. Curti muitas paixões. Valeu Jhon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel truly blessed to have seen Jonn live in concert five times including his last ever concert at the Royal Albert Hall in April 1997. I know that this was one of John's favourite places to sing at. He performed this concert entirely on his own without any backing band, and had the audience 'eating out of the palm of his hand'. R.I.P. John.
Growing up, I remember sitting in my dad's car singing this on the way to TJ's Big Boy... of all the songs... this has the fondest memory. John, you were and always will be the sunshine on our world. We are honored to have been blessed with your voice.
I have always loved him from the moment I heard his songs. If I had a blog that I could write for you. I will the blog is utubefavorites.blogspot.com come and read his life story as you listen to his sweat music. thank you john Denver for making me feel this way
This is my lullaby, my mother used to sing this to me every night. I'm still not over the beauty of this song, how sweet and joyful it is. I swear if a guy sang me this song I would just melt <3
Been listening to JD for as long as I can remember, both mum and dad used to play him all the time, it's the sort of thing you just can't let go.... The sort of music for a quiet night in with an open fire. Not the best voice in the world, but music from the heart and that makes a difference. A tragic loss. One of the reasons I'd love to visit Colorado and the Rockies though.
The sun is the giver of all awesome: Just look at Denver's hair. You think it was that beautiful before the aliens invented the sun? I don't think so kiddies.
Goosebumps. And tears of nostalgia to go along with it.....I'm just 23, yet I miss "those" days so much.......a testimony to how much the world has changed.
I ♥ this song! I barely remember the movie it's from "Sunshine". I was quite young when it aired on the tele. I just remember the movie was very sad and very touching and I remember this song from it. Many of you have said how John had feeling and emotion in his singing. I soooo agree. Please check out another musical artist who has emotion/puts his all into his originals and covers. Please search SamuellTV & sub if you like what you hear. Let me know what you think. He's amazing!
Long time back when i was a child there used to be an eye donation campaign in the indian national television..a little blind boy and his father playing beside the river.. and this song playing at the background. And then the camera would focus on the boy's dark glasses and everything would become dark..only the sound of the gurgling water and song of birds would be heard..that time it used to make me shiver to think how would a dark world without any light seem? I wanted to donate my eyes..
This song has never ceased to amaze me..the words are so unbelievably simple yet so eternally beautiful..anyone, anywhere in the world can listen to this and feel the same happiness, warmth and hope flooding over him/her.Golden barley, sunflowers, sparkling waters, green grass, laughter, and ..sunshine..sunshine..sunshine..
A dear friend of mine who died of Motor Neurones disease asked for this song at his funeral which was held on a dark December day. As his coffin left the church a ray of sunshine burst through the the window of the church right onto his coffin. The memory of that moment will live with me forever. As the owner of every JD cd ever issued I truly love this mans music.
Such a bittersweet story! I could tell you of the many years I serched for JD's "Whose Garden Was This" in vain. I tell the story in my blog (I suppose YT doesn't allow me to put the link here). Finally I tracked it in Japan and I ordered it. It arrived the very same day I heard of John Denver's death on the news. October 12 1998. I'll never forget the date.
@RAIN12FORD there are no such things as mistakes or coincidences in anyone's life, all things are meant to be and knowing this as true makes it easier for all of us to 'let go.'
@bhite41 God has a plan for all of us. Sometimes it's hard to accept. I thank God I'm still here every day. God bless. Love John Denver's music sooo much.
John Denver's songs and singing are like looking at a great painting..You can listen to him any time and he creates emotions that move you.

Born in Roswell, of all places.
His father was a bigwig in the air force. They were always at odds until a mutual love of flying forced a meeting of the minds.
I, personally, could never respect a diety who, claiming omnipotence, let's this guy die so horribly.
Go to hell, god. I'll join you soon enough.
