okay, im 14 and i just got an 04 just like this and i had it all rebuilt,top end,piston,rings,valves at the right clearance,and gaskets and it still wont start, cuz thats the reason i took it in,wouldnt start,and its doing the same exact thing!!know whats wrong??

@stayfitbmx96 Well I own a crf450r and mate, sounds like your still having valve issues, go get some STAINLESS STEEL IN IT!! and prob solved, had mine havn't checked but once this year and its still perfect! trust me! either that or ur bike is totally fucked haha

@stayfitbmx96 Also it could be that maybe your air filter dosn't have the spark resistor, well if you don't have you need to deff buy one because I had an 06 450 and the valves got wrecked because airfilter let dirt into the engine so yeah, i have the spark resitor in my filter now and i havn't had any trouble, although you might loose A LITTLE power but not nothing you could recognize unless you was a pro racer!

Hey cinchboy10 my bro just got a 250r one year younger and after I stripedit down and cleaned it it popes and lite the air filter in fire and so we did a more extensive cleaning including oil and carb and we determined the pop was shit on the valves that caught fire

nice clean up, but i got a question, i have the same exact bike, and the other day i just got it back from my cousin he was using it, he had it for about a month.....and when i tryed to start it up, it poped really loud. does anybody know whats wrong with it?

he said he hasnt changed the oil the whole time he had it, and he rode it a lot, and he never oiled the air filter....... does anybody know what i can do to fix it without spending hella money?

the changes: a graphic sticker kit from n style, new hand grips, no front disk guard, a new front/rear disk wave design, a rear red track sprocket from renthal, a gold series chain, a new skin for the seat, red rear disk brake proctector.....and about that black stripe from the side panels to the back fender how did you do that, it looks great ...what kind of paint did you use?
