Yeah, well when ur in a rush and giving out help for fellow left handers (that end up helping a lot of right handers too) for FREE......la la-la la-la
finally a left handed demonstration. thanks so much. have always had to look at diagrams and try the stitch upside down and backward, if you know what i mean by that description. lovely video
There is another way now of completing this stitch. It is slightly different in that it works up narrower and possibly more curved. In terms of interlacing 'over & unders' it is exactly the same but in terms of execution, I find it to be a lot 'smoother'. If you want further details, google: Jacqui Carey's book 'Sweet Bags', published in 2009.
@ketchupwitheverythin Hi! I'm amazed with your everything, voice, timing, and clearness of the shots, but I have a question... I want to do this in a rectangular piece, and I'm lost at the corner... Is it possible to do it? how?
Umm,...sorry, but what exactly is happening at 2:13?.......it's obviously a thread from your fabric coming out of place.....but your reaction........it's like you never had that happen before........
@todtubetod tut tut - how about if I tell you I like my videos to be done in one take ?? I dont have, like, 3 months to spend faffing about on the proverbial cutting room floor.
I've just posted the RIGHT-HANDED version of this stitch. You can find it on my channel page, if it's not listed along side here yet. Its only 4 1/2 minutes.
I think you're asking how to make the 'gold' stitches? Easy, exactly the same way as this video shows you. The stitch looks different with every thread you make it with, but the actions are the same. Try making it with 'smooth passing gold thread' which is designed to go through the fabric and you'll see what I mean.
Thanks so much for your efforts in putting up this video! I just love Linda Connor's instructions and think you did a great job of showing how to do PBS using these steps.
QUE BELLAS PUNTADAS, GRACIAS, me encantaron, saludos
