Miami Vice is such a timeless series.... I own the compelete season I think they set the pace in each scene with the mood based off the music always used..

first heard this song in a 1988 movie "Riders of the storm" with Dennis Hopper,never caught the Miami Vice episode with it.Been looking for the title/artist of this song for over 22 years.Found today after receiving the 88 movie on laserdisc of all things lol and being able to see the credits clear enough to see the song titles/artist and search.Lot was going on in my life back then,brings a lot of memmories

Take it to the bank as the composer Graham Ward told me, the song is actually about the slaughter of animals. Life on a knife edge indeed! I once matched this up with scenes of massed military hardware and an atomic bomb (metal box) and nuclear explosion from the movie 'Koyaanisqatsi'. Maybe someone can replicate that here as they combine perfectly? I was stunned to hear this while walking through Bloomingdale's one afternoon, thinking "nice one", and making it to Miami Vice - that's cool too!

Hands Down has to be ONE of the best songs that came out of Miami Vice. The song and the vid mae perfect sence. I love Sunny, he really has style and grace. My fav song

Crockett going out at night driving, looking at the whores, the dealers, the world corrupt, seeing the madness of it all, mixing those sights with the thoughts of the beautiful side of life, love, then seeing the dirty real world again. Then he calls Rico to get his mind busy, doing what he can to help things, even if it's futile. This scene really resonates with me.
