Bernard, you never heard of Steve Goodman? One of the best of all time. John Denver had the first recording of CONO, which went nowhere. Arlo had the breakout hit.
Steve also wrote, with John Prine, "You Don't Have to Call me Darlin', Darlin" which was a hit for David Alan Coe. Steve also wrote a gazillion other great songs before leukemia got him in 1984.(Prine didn't write Angel from Montgomery for Steve).
Search "Steve Goodman" on youtube and have a ball.
Well after great excitement and fanfare here is my comment, lol. I think it was outstanding, superb, tremendous. I throughly enjoyed it. Your best post yet. The guitar sounded great, your singing was great, even Marilyn's fingers added a little touch, haha. Come on with the next one, your fans are waiting!!!
Thanks Ed. I Heard of Arlo Guthrie, but not Steve Goodman ( at least I don't think). However, i love the song and I think Willie Nelson does a good version of it as well.
It would be nice to have a buddy to play some tunes with, I know nobody here in NS that play, lol. I'm all by my self.
thats nice man.

Thanks, The guitar is a Tanglewood TW15:
- Solid American Spruce Top
- Solid Afican Mahogany Back and Sides
- Solid Indian Rose wood Fingerboard & Bridge
- Electric acoustic as well, but don't plug in much.
Its only a couple of months old for me. Tanglewood is a Bristish manufacturer.

@bernard460
Steve Goodman wrote the song. MANY singers recorded it, though.

Another great job man! The song was written by Steve Goodman in 1970 and was later recorded by Arlo Guthrie in 1972.
Great sing-a-long song! Wish I was there to sing along with ya.
