Thats probably one of the nicest setups iv seen. NICE and do you know if anywhere sells that case anymore iv been tryin to fing one but everywhere is out. Lian li is still in business but did they discontinue that case

This is for all those who think that this is pointless.The XBox 360 has very bad cooling for it's heat output. Nearly 100% of older models break at one time or another. To get this into perspective imagine that you've purchased an i7 and it only came with a small aluminum heatsink and a a micro fan the size of a 50cent coin. Overclocked or not, this in inadequate. Now instead of just upgrading to a fan that does the job, you overkill by watercooling. I've watercooled mine too & uploaded the vid.

Ive got water cooling dont get me wrong, its the best way to go.

But, This is pretty pointless considering you cant over clock the XBOX!

@TheGutterTwin It kind of is necesarry depending on the model of the Xbox. Microsoft didn't consider effective heat dissipation when they designed this case...

Hell the DVD drive itself covers the heatsink of the GPU which is the hottest running component in the darned thing.

If it were a room it'd be what we would call in Ireland a 'sweatbox'. So consequently it overheats constantly to the point of warning the motherboard so much that the GPU chip and to a lesser extent the CPU chips...

@TheGutterTwin Practically disconnect from the motherboard as their solder joints go cold. This can happen with the RAM and the HANA chip inside of it too.

They improved it with motherboard revisions etc but it really didn't help that the first three revisions of the interior case had screw mounting holes that actually pushed the board upwards...

It really was shoddy case design.

You can't overclock the Xbox 360. So the only reason I can think of for doing this is, say your warranty is out, and you want to decrease the chances of failure, water cool it. You don't have to get the XB01 to water cool it though, you could just cut holes in the top.

Other benefits are the sound dampening, possible space for a PSU, and extra HDDs since microsoft now allows the use of external devices to be used for game saves and down loadable content.

cooler master has discontinued that water cooling system so they have like.. hundreds of thousands of them for way cheap now.. at the time.. i think i payed like... 200.00 for the water cooling system... the case is 99.00 ....so .. it was expensive...basically ... all this is is a prevention.. like someone said in an earlier post.. the whole point of the case is for better air flow... this xbox you see here... it NEVER pumps out hot air... know why??

@nakizzimo because it never gets hot enough in the first place .... so any chance of this overheating and causeing cold soldering issues or that gay E74 issue... are pretty much defeated... the ONLY thing i think i would have to worry about is the dvd drive burning out...which is an easy fix... @bandages13 The whole point of installing the 360 in the Lian Li case and adding water cooling is to prevent the RROD by providing superior air flow to the componets vs the standard MS case, and CPU and GPU cooling from the water cooling. A side benefit of the 120mm fan is less noise, so not only is the 360 running cooler, its quieter as well.

But utterly pointless. You can prevent the red ring of death by removing the xclamps and replaceing them with custom bolts and washers. No other mods required other than for asthetics.
