I know I'm talking to a brick wall when I say this, but CoD and BF are two different styles of games. CoD is an arcade like twitch shooter where you can carry your team single handedly while BF is a more realistic, team based shooter where you need to work together to succeed. One's not better than the other, it's just what type of game you want to play. Personally, I'm getting both and have loved both games for a long time.

I've been a fan of BF since Vietnam came on PC 5 or 6 yrs ago I'm an avid BF 2142 player and BFBC player. Been waiting for ever for them to come out with BF3. I'm sure they will make gameplay just like BF2 with some improvements and I can't see them taking away game mechanics like BFBC 1 and 2 I think they would damage there franchise for all of us that have been fans for so long.

The PC version of BF3 will be far superior to the console version, the hardware of consoles are uncapable of running what will be released for PC, The physics alone will make the consoles have a fit, let alone the superior visuals! You believe otherwise? A console costs ~$350? To run it as intended on PC will cost you upwards of $2,000.
BC is the console version of the BF series.. BC2 is ported to PC to keep people happy until BF3 is released.
CoD is a spray and pray game.. It's extremely easy and is designed that way, one could say it takes "no skill" and I would agree, just another console game ported to PC, Sure, It's fun but it gets boring FAST (no doubt this is why they release a new one every 12 or so months).. Not my cup of tea.
Try to spray and pray on Battlefield.. you'll run out of ammo well before getting a hit, let alone a kill ;)

If you have only played a DICE game since the Bad Company spin-off you have absolutely no idea how awesome this is gonna be... BF2, BF2142. Great games. BF3 is gonna be immensely epic. 1 in a million, never to be repeated kills and near misses are everyday things when you play with DICE. :D Can't Wait!

PC is the way to play battlefield anyway, but it definitely sucks that if people don't have a decent amount of money to upgrade, they won't be able to play it or if they do it wouldn't be an optimum experience.

I love all the wannabe leet PC players that claim consoles can't do 64 players. It could, actually, but obviously PC will do it better. Half of the PC players you see commenting and trying to talk shit are noobs with no lives who think they know what floating point precision is. The reason the consoles are 24 players is largely due to optimization, not limitation. The consoles could well support 16v16 (32 players). Yes, people, that includes the 360!

The player count of a game is determined by several things, Bandwidth, processing power, etc. The PS3, without a doubt, has all the necessities needed to have a high player count, as it has proven on several occasions. There are 2 reasons the Ps3 won't have as high of a player count. 1) Favoritism. Favoritism between consoles is unprofessional for a multi-platform developer. Lets not get confused. DICE and EA are businesses, not game hobbyists.

The biggest (technical) factor in the problem of player count is this. The engine has a lot of resources being executed and managed, as well as all the data being rendered. @Sonnyxleet There are a number of reasons why consoles can't generally exceed 24 players, mainly due to the lack of dedicated servers, but also because they are just no where near as powerful as a computer and couldn't maintain steady frame rates in huge firefights.

No offense, but I doubt you know what you're talking about simply because you stated dedicated servers are a problem. They really aren't. The console itself isn't the problem when it comes to server support, it's more along the lines of bandwidth (and sometimes security). Consoles could easily do 32 player support for this game. I believe 24 players was an estimate based on pre-alpha code.
@kiashadowwave Also, as I stated in my first comment, obviously a computer is more powerful, but that does not mean a console is weak. Computers can handle up to 300 players in a server, you think 64 players is something overwhelming? No. It's an estimation. That is what we would like to call pre-optimization.

The Quantity sure rakes in the money but they don't improve the style... they release EVERY YEAR that kills the quality of things... the gameplay changes are pretty slow and other games which release every few years instead of every year have better quality in them :) and its not all about the graphics.

lmao cod uses some unreal superhero shit called perks that u can earn to make yourself better. as Battlefield has the intense campaign and awesome multiplayer experience that uses teamwork and your own skills which makes it the best FPS for me can't wait until it comes thumbs up for the Battlefield series.. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^

@PSP3000user Their both awesome different games COD isn't trying to be realistic just a fun shooter with enjoyable things in it. While BF goes for the realistic action and real life stuff. Enough already with the COD vs BF crap already, they are both FUN shooters that many people enjoy so stop ranting on who's better than the other. If you reread your comment you will find that you say 'I can't want for IT to come out.' Since you use this in the same sentence as 'Battlefield has the intense campaign and awesome multiplayer experience' you clearly mean you are referring to the 'IT' mentioned afterwards and thus are making assumptions on the game even though you haven't got a clue.

@PSP3000user you dnt have to use the 'superhero shit' perks haha.but if every1 has them its all good every1 is on even terms,but you can play 'raw' -no perks or equipment, if you play with the right people teamwork is just as important as in any game...not havin a go,just get bored with people saying bf3 is a codkiller or its more intense and viceverse, both games have strong and weak points,they are both great games, il be gettin bf3 & mw3 cos i love games fullstop..no fanboy coments from me ;P

If you have only played a DICE game since the Bad Company spin-off you have absolutely no idea how awesome this is gonna be... BF2, BF2142. Great games. BF3 is gonna be immensely epic. 1 in a million, never to be repeated kills and near misses are everyday things when you play with DICE. :D Can't Wait!

it would be awesome, but consoles wouldn't be able to handle 64 players with a game this advanced and complex. PC is the way to play battlefield anyway, but it definitely sucks that if people don't have a decent amount of money to upgrade, they won't be able to play it or if they do it wouldn't be an optimum experience.

Its funny how BF fans comment on every BF video something negative about CoD. They only show how traumatized they are about CoD franchise selling a lot more units than any other FPS, and actually having more users than BF, or Halo.
Well don't take this wrong, I like BF, and I like CoD too. I just don't like the stupid "war" between fanboys about wich game it's better. As simple as saying the only thing both games share it's the FPS genre, then, everything else is different.

I love all the wannabe leet PC players that claim consoles can't do 64 players. It could, actually, but obviously PC will do it better. Half of the PC players you see commenting and trying to talk shit are noobs with no lives who think they know what floating point precision is. The reason the consoles are 24 players is largely due to optimization, not limitation. The consoles could well support 16v16 (32 players). Yes, people, that includes the 360!

The player count of a game is determined by several things, Bandwidth, processing power, etc. The PS3, without a doubt, has all the necessities needed to have a high player count, as it has proven on several occasions. There are 2 reasons the Ps3 won't have as high of a player count. 1) Favoritism. Favoritism between consoles is unprofessional for a multi-platform developer. Lets not get confused. DICE and EA are businesses, not game hobbyists.

@blazinhomo 2) Processing power vs. Game Engine resources. As DICE has stated countless times, Frostbite 2 is a "next-gen" engine. The biggest (technical) factor in the problem of player count is this. The engine has a lot of resources being executed and managed, as well as all the data being rendered. Such as, destructible environments, explosions, bullets being fired, as well as all of the players, etc. If you want a detailed explanation, message me. So I don't flood comments.

@Sonnyxleet There are a number of reasons why consoles can't generally exceed 24 players, mainly due to the lack of dedicated servers, but also because they are just no where near as powerful as a computer and couldn't maintain steady frame rates in huge firefights.

No offense, but I doubt you know what you're talking about simply because you stated dedicated servers are a problem. They really aren't. The console itself isn't the problem when it comes to server support, it's more along the lines of bandwidth (and sometimes security). Consoles could easily do 32 player support for this game. I believe 24 players was an estimate based on pre-alpha code.

Computers can handle up to 300 players in a server, you think 64 players is something overwhelming? No. It's an estimation. That is what we would like to call pre-optimization.

The Quantity sure rakes in the money but they don't improve the style... they release EVERY YEAR that kills the quality of things... the gameplay changes are pretty slow and other games which release every few years instead of every year have better quality in them :) and its not all about the graphics.
