@motokid032 Not exactly, big majority of people and addons still use FSX. X plane 10 will probably be next big sim, but FSX has been always bigger than X plane 9.

@Vorox144 I don't know man, FS 1986 is pretty heavy on the graphics. With your system it's going to be a gamble. I'd advise getting rid of that dinosaur you call a computer and purchase something a bit more current if you want to experience the pure magic and intense realism of FS 1986. :p

we will possibly (I hope) one day be able to render a whole world in its completion on our computers and by a world I mean down to the molecules in the water, texture reselution so hight the is NO differance visualy between game world, and real life, massive resolution on a normal sized screen (16500 / 12500 on a 20-30 inch), so yea, if we advance as quickly as we are, it should be soon we can efficiently "emulate" the whole fucking universe in our computers... sorry to get all deep =P

3D wireframes are actually quite easy to render. Your TI-83 graphic calculator can even do it at a decent framerate.

How did they have color 3d graphics way back in 1983 / 1984? Very interesting. I was under the impression a Flight Sim engine that looks like it does back then wouldn't have been possible till 1989 / 19990

That brings back memories!! I've had every PC version since FS1, the C64 version, along with SubLogic ATP and Flight Lite! There has been other notable Flight Sims not by Microsoft, like Pro-Pilot (I and II), Fly (I and II) and the Flight Unlimited Series. BTW You left off FSX.. :LOL
