you know, Adam does better/more intense bass lines with just his thumb while singing/playing the harmonica/picking out the rest of the chords than people that actually play the bass. i was listening to my girlfriend's collection of music and Two Gallants makes everything sound like child's play. quite sad these guys aren't more well known

@Ylviste lol @ you. She has a lot of the more "popular" music- such as Nickelback, some screamo crap, and some hip hop. In my opinion, the technicality of Adam's guitar playing is much more advanced than what you see from other bands, such as the White Stripes or the aforementioned bands. Using the fingerpicks/hybrid picking with fingerpicks (which Adam does) is more challenging than strumming some power chords or playing some riff that you can learn from watching 20 minutes of a metal

This style of playing makes the guitarist responsible for literally two different musical lines, which all bands of today just don't do- they utilize a pick to either strum out chords or pick single notes really fast, which the latter doesn't even happen too much. If you would like to argue your case more I would be glad to hear it, but I am pretty sure that the computer-driven, simple-minded music of today does not stack up in technicality to the musical stylings of 2G's
