  • Two Gallants aren't well known, yet lil wayne is on the radio 5 times an hour... Where is the justice?

  • Probably the best band in all of America. At least right now, when I'm reasonably drunk.

  • Go on Joyce you mad fucker your influence still going strong in modern pop culture

  • hahrrrrrrrahahahaaa

  • I just woke up amazed right now.. to find these guys. I am now a fan.. blow fan blow wheeee! :)

  • I always knew it would happen. These guys are not exactly "over produced." Great lyrics that they write; no trumpets, violins; not even a Hammond B3. OK, the lyrics are not exactly classic sonnet format but what great, honest, fun stuff.

One drum kit and one guitar. on and one half voices. Poetry is back with guts

  • love it

  • can someone possibly get me a link for this songs guitar tab? lol

  • no words for it

  • This song is beautiful, it never gets old.

  • Just saw them in Philadelphia. They put on one hell of a show.

  • @TheInsertanamehere you have a great name my friend

  • @misremembered72 haha why thank you sir

  • @TheInsertanamehere best comment ever!

  • *everything else*

  • you know, Adam does better/more intense bass lines with just his thumb while singing/playing the harmonica/picking out the rest of the chords than people that actually play the bass. i was listening to my girlfriend's collection of music and Two Gallants makes everything sound like child's play. quite sad these guys aren't more well known

  • @TheHolyurethra What songs does your girlfriend have in her collection then, lullabies? The music of 2G's is hardly technically difficult.

  • @Ylviste lol @ you. She has a lot of the more "popular" music- such as Nickelback, some screamo crap, and some hip hop. In my opinion, the technicality of Adam's guitar playing is much more advanced than what you see from other bands, such as the White Stripes or the aforementioned bands. Using the fingerpicks/hybrid picking with fingerpicks (which Adam does) is more challenging than strumming some power chords or playing some riff that you can learn from watching 20 minutes of a metal

  • @Ylviste guitar lesson. This style of playing makes the guitarist responsible for literally two different musical lines, which all bands of today just don't do- they utilize a pick to either strum out chords or pick single notes really fast, which the latter doesn't even happen too much. If you would like to argue your case more I would be glad to hear it, but I am pretty sure that the computer-driven, simple-minded music of today does not stack up in technicality to the musical stylings of 2G's

  • @TheHolyurethra Completely agree. I've listened to them for almost 7 years.

  • 1:11 is us all

  • "I'm a sucker, just a slave to sound!"

We all are! Rock & Roll lives!

  • The other day a few friends told me "Dude! we found your voice-mate. Check this songs, te singer has your very same voice" Hahahaha, it seems they are identical.

I guess I'll upload a cover once I learn it properly. It's quite good.

  • <3 this song!!

  • if they play this april 24

    i sparking the fattest blunt

    you have no fucking idea

  • 0:53 my home.

  • frisco bay!!

  • I come from the old times baby, where all the kids are crazy.

  • I love this song. I wonder if they ever come around eastern Canada.

  • "Im a slave to sound" that is about right.

  • i love this song <3

  • this band inspires me to learn fingerpicking, but then i remember how uncoordinated my hands are for a guitarist

  • haha i love the band an hate the fans..i have to agree with omfgitsblake...the fans just did not understand or recognise this sort of sound, like they were alien to it

  • i came across this band a couple of months ago an these guys are amazing..i can't say theres many bands like this..im thinkin deer tick and the cave singers..any of you's guys have any recomendations?

  • @gmez79 brad sucks is pretty good

  • Epic.

  • 22 dislike.

  • Saw these guys open for Les Claypool one year in Austin. Been a fan ever since.

  • love the band

    hate the fans

  • @omfgitsblake

yeah? I haven't even met any fans yet. I'm kind of worried about that when I go to one of their shows whenever they get back together.

  • @LaGrandeBeaute

    dont let that stop you

i would easily pay 100 bucks to see them again

their one of the best live bands ever

  • @omfgitsblake

Same here. Drove for an hour just to see Adam Stephens open for Vetiver before his solo album released. I'd gladly make a trip up to San Fran to see the first show (assuming thats where it would begin)

  • Would give my left arm for having his bawling lion voice!

  • will forever remind me of him

  • This song is the voice of a traveling man. Simply amazing.

  • Great!

  • Saw these guys in Vancouver, and just barely. Something about the fascist border patrol and the possibility of cancellation, luckily it was effing awesome!!!!

  • reminds me of deadwood for some reason.

  • good shit

  • Comment removed

  • Thank god music isn't entirely dead..!

  • @EricDymond - Here here

  • @EricDymond Most of my favorite bands are still around today. There's hundreds out there, you just have to look.

  • Nice contrast. Rocking the fuck out of that drumset.

  • this band is amazing...

  • guitar and drum and its a master peas this song well live for ever

  • this is so beautiful i fall asleep to this. my aunt, her husband died but he showed this to her and she showed it to me and it means a lot because he was a special person and this is so calming i love it!!!!!(:

  • just a song that is pure raw music at its best !!!! it is a fucked up world tho?!!!!!!!!

  • anybody knows anything about a possible new album?

  • @cimattikaiman yeah adam is doing a solo project as is tyson you can check their respective myspace sites adam stephens and the devotionals for more info but i doubt they will have another album in the next few years

  • Ha two gallantz rocks fuckin rolls ahhhh

  • They're amazing live. You can't look away because it sounds like a 5 man band.

  • I read the James Joyce short story Two Gallants, searched it on Google and seen these guys. There pretty cool.

  • si la vara iar plec hai hui

  • as vre si eu sa plec hai hui fara bani si cand ma intorc acasa sa fie bine primit

  • YES !!!

  • tight editing

  • its funny how calming this song can be but then how fucked up it sounds when u listen to the lyrics

  • @CraZeeKilLa glad im not the only one that thinks that

  • @blindninja907 Me too.. :D

  • @CraZeeKilLa That's why I love this song. It's sounds so relaxing but so evil in it's thoughts... :)

  • @CraZeeKilLa you're crazy, man, the lyrics are the BEST PART

    dont we all do =/

  • Agree and go along with it anyway.

    Don't we all =/

  • yea

but what has satire to do with going along?

  • "It's all the same, the same old game."

    Isn't it always =/

  • Death's comin' and i'm still runnin'...

    Aren't we all =/

  • I think it is "debt's comin Im still runnin" and not "death"

  • Actually no gulligulli.

I checked the lyrics in various sites and it's "death's comin',I'm still runnin' ".

  • Ok! Got it! thx!

  • no, its "Death's comin', I'm still runnin'."

  • No, it's death; I own the CD and it has the lyrics listed.

  • I love this song!!! :)

  • LOVE IT! and yeah, it's not simple, just shows how talented they are, making it sound so easy...
