I have one that sounds the same. I notice that the vibrato channel is a little less bright...probably from all the processing, but if you jumper it with the main channel, you get more brightness and clarity without any reduction in the vibrato effect...plus it sounds better when you disconnect the volume...more headroom using all the tubes.

Very nice playing, that amp is in unbelievably nice shape. Most of the ones I've seen look like they've been dragged behind a truck for a couple of miles.

I've got a 260A that the previous owner turned into an amp head because the original cab was basically destroyed. I need to have it looked at as well, it doesn't sound so crystal clear as your 280.

Nice demo - sweet tone. Would have been nice to also hear it with a humbucker guitar and for you to talk features a little more. Good job nonetheless...
