Treasure Island, Muppets, and Treasure Planet... Possibly the best combination of pirate movies ever, and all of them basically the same thing. Seems the creators of all three ended up being geniuses. Bring back the old Disney!
If a movie is good you should be able to get something from it at any age... also check out movies his company worked on... like "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"
Say, this is a random thought: Anyone ever notice how the story behind John Silver in Treasure Planet is very similar to Long John's in Muppet Treasure Island? He's an evil pirate who pretends to be the cook so he can sneak his crew on board and take over, and he spares the main character's life because he likes him... yeah...
