Ah, what I should have said was the Whig dream. Tyler abandoned the Whig cause, and measures afterwards to reach the golden age of Whig-ism were smashed. Taylor died as well, and Fillmore divided the Northern and Southern Whigs enough to not be nominated again, causing him to join the Know Nothing Party. The Whigs pinned their hopes on Harrison, and nothing was the same afterwards.
Trying to find something good to say about such an unfortunate presidency: At least he didn't leave a really, really bad legacy. What is better, to be a "nothing" president no one talks about, or a real stinker that can always be used as a bad example? Thanks for the video!
