it´s in standard tuning, the chords are: C, Em and G (first part); then F, C and G (pre-chorus); and finally Dm, C and G (first part of chorus); the second part of the chorus is the same chords as the pre-chorus

actually, the way he is playing it is not in standard tuning. originally thought it was in open C but the chords shapes he is showing don't match up. will keep trying til i figure it out

tune the thin E string down to c...and then play open b and c string . play the C , F and G like barré( but with open b and c string), but Em should be played like normal ( 022000 in tabs)...that's the way chris martin plays it....hope you understand what i mean!!

hey i have seen that many dont know the tuning of this song and there is a whole lot of confusion regarding it.i have played this song. first you tune your high string e to c and then put a capo at the first fret.Or if you dont have a capo the tuning is (low to high) F A# D# G# C C# or F Bb Eb Ab C Db which becomes the same as before with the capo.i think the chords you should be able to figure out.if not write A MESSAGE here
